Poorly designed

"Poorly designed, will not fit plates more than 10 inch diameter unless you raise the upper basket, which means you cannot fit glasses more than the size of a standard mug in, unless you remove the cutlery tray. Also, you cannot fit standard size baking trays in it at all - the plate spikes are not wide enough. You also cannot load wine glasses or any stemmed glass at all.

Think long and hard whether these points are what's useful to you. You cannot return this dishwasher and yet your money back if you have used it - and you won't know if this works for you, until you've tried it. (Not a fault on AO, this is standard for anywhere) overall, I wish I'd read and understood the other reviewers comments, instead of being hellbent on getting a Samsung dishwasher. Very disappointed. Oh, how I wish I'd taken note of other reviews ...

"Its my own fault. I read the reviews, but really, really wanted a Samsung, as my other appliances are Samsung. However, as other reviewers have said, you cannot fit "big" plates in (and our plates are 10.5 inches), without raising the upper basket. "Tall" glasses (Taller than the size of a mug) will not fit - they have to go on the lower basket. You cannot put things like baking trays in, as the plate spikes are just not wide enough to support this and this is a major disappointment to me. The cutlery shelf is good though - and, I have now discovered - can be shifted, so the basket below can accommodate slightly taller glasses, but only if you load the basket through this gap and shut them up at the same time.

It does wash well though and dishes come out fairly dry. Programmes are long (but I've only used it twice, so far). It'll take some getting used to, but as the header says, I really wish I'd taken note of what other reviewers had said. Now I have to live with it until it breaks.

Mixed feelings

"The dishwasher it's of a high spec and very quiet.

Lots of different configuration options blah blah blah, the negatives are though...

Doesn't fit our square plates

And only accommodates small glasses, not sure how we'd fit in pint sized ones!"

Good effective Dishwasher

"Looks good and simple to use. All washes have come out clean so far and fairly dry. Only potential issue is you cannot fit large plates and tall glasses in same wash as the cutlery tray lowers the usable height but this is likely a common issue and the cutlery tray can be removed."

Very good, but...

"Loving the top cutlery tray and the machine in general but it is a bit frustrating that you can either put normal size plates in the lower level OR put pint glasses in the upper level. You can’t do both, that’s the problem with having the top cutlery tray, it nicks important space from below. You can raise and lower the upper level easily but there’s no way around the space restrictions other than to put pint glasses in the lower level like some sort of savage.

Also, one time so far, the machine has said it has finished but there was a lake of un-drained dirty water left in the bottom for no apparent reason.

Overall, happy enough with the machine, the cutlery tray is a catch 22 as in I want it but it comes at a cost, both literally and figuratively, as Archer would say. "
