"Great tv especially for the price, have most of the channels, Netflix and prime, which all work brilliantly. The clarity of picture is great, colours are great and the ambilight makes a huge difference to the room.

"I ordered this TV during the Black Friday sales and it has to be one of the best purchases I've ever made! The colour is beautiful, the sound is great and it was so simple to setup. Within minutes I had my technology illiterate wife bouncing through the different channels unaided. The only problem now is finding a show that both of us can enjoy! "

"I’ve been looking at TVs for a while now and - after owning Hue lights for some time - Philips’ models have always drew my attention because of their Ambilight feature.
Most technologies like this are usually a marketing gimmick, but knowing the quality of Philips’ lights I was confident on buying this and wasn’t disappointed in the least. Ambilight adds an amazing extra dimension to the viewing/gaming experience and manages to combine visual enhancement while reducing strain on the eye in low-light.
I can’t ever imagine owning a TV without it, and its seamless integration with the rest of your Hue setup with the in-built Ambilight+Hue software makes it a winner for anyone who’s already in the Hue ecosystem.
So, onto the picture quality itself. This is where I was most concerned, but after trusting the rave reviews this model has got I have to say I was in awe after trying it for the first time with my PlayStation Pro. I may have been easy to please as it’s my first 4K TV but the crisp picture and vibrancy of the colours was exactly what I was looking for in a 2018 model.
The sound was a pleasant surprise too. After recently buying a smaller TV for a relative and finding we immediately had to get a sound bar due to its tinny nature, I was relieved to hear that the sound was pretty good out of the box. Not a patch of course on a decent sound bar, but still more than liveable.
The only negative I have is that - when getting into HDR mode - the screen isn’t quite bright enough to get the best out of it, averaging around 350 nits. If HDR is the main reason you’re buying this TV then I can’t recommend this model, but if you’re looking for a stunning overall picture quality with a killer unique feature at a fantastic price then I’ve failed to find anything better. "
