Outstanding

"Having watched an ambilight tv over Christmas we were determined to get one ourselves.

The quality of the picture is enhanced by the ambilight experience and is not a gimick as described by a salesman who had never seen one !!!! Highly recommend the switch for an all round experience.

The sound on the Philips tv is good for a very slim tv but a soundbar could be of benefit especially for games.

For the price this is a fantastic buy. Love it.!!!

Phillips TV Review

"Great TV with very clear picture. Amber lighting is impressive and works well when you put the tv on the wall. Only downfall is the outside of the screen is more black than silver. "

Great performance and value

"A great value 4k TV with really good performance and features.

The picture quality is very good with high quality sources (Freeview HD, 4K HDR Netflix etc), although low quality content such as some of the SD Freeview channels and catch up services look a bit rough (not the fault of the TV). As with other Philips TVs I've owned, it's worth taking to time to learn how to adjust the picture settings to get the best from it, as the factory standard settings aren't perfect. Be aware that the screen type doesn't offer very good performance when viewed from a sharp angle - viewing from about 30 away from straight on looks fine, but more than that and the picture looks more and more washed out. It's worth thinking about this depending on where you want to place it.

Freeview Play and the other catch up services built in (Netflix etc) are offered with a simple interface that works well. The TV guide is large on the screen and easy to use, although I can't find a way to "Page" up and down the channel listing, rather than move line by line.

The TV sound is pretty good - there's not much bass, but the sound has some weight and dialogue is clear.

Philips Ambilight is the final feature that's nice to have - I've owned it before and wanted another Philips TV because of it, as the ambient light projected around the back of the TV to sync with the colour and brightness of what's on the picture really adds to the experience and ambience when watching TV.

Overall, the combination of picture performance, decent sound, and a full set of easy to use catch up services make the TV excellent value."
