"I am very pleased with this smart TV. Easy to set up the apps with a nicely sized remote that is fairly intuitive to use. I like the cursor that you can simply wave around the screen (a bit like a Wii controller). The picture for HD and UHD movies and streams is very sharp and the on-board speakers aren't too bad but lack bass, so you really should consider adding external speakers and a sub if you want that true cinema sound. Good connectivity too with 4 HDMI ports for all of your peripherals. Any PC's in you home attached via ethernet cables and homeplugs are detected immediately and you can view your stored photos, play movies or your music collection via the slick Plex app. There are a few minor annoyances but I think I can live with them.
1. If you attached an appropriate USB stick or external hard drive you can pause live TV or record programs. However, there is only one tuner in the TV so you cannot change channels while recording, which to me seems pointless. Thank god for catchup TV.
2. Black is not displayed as true black, more a deep grey which can sometimes make the picture appear a bit washed out. Tweeking the brightness, contrast etc can help improve this.
3.There is an app advertised on the LG website called LG Channel Plus that gives access to hundreds of ipTV channels. Looks impressive but be warned this is not available in the UK.
Another word of warning to owners of old Home Theatre Receivers who want to hook this TV, or any other new smart TV to it. Check which version HDMI the receiver supports. Anything less than v.1.4 and it will not be able to take advantage of the Audio Return Channel (ARC) via an HDMI cable and you will have to resort to an optical cable instead.
I contacted LG support about this. On the positive side they responded very quickly to any questions I had and were very sorry about the limitations I had experienced.
Other than that I am still very happy with this LG TV and would thoroughly recommend it."

"Ordered a new smart tv from ao. Was able to get the right features I wanted using their filters. The tv sits perfectly with my sound bar and it thin frame looks stunning. Picture and sound quality are excellent. Well done ao. "

"The tv is good for the money, just lacks a bit in quality for dark scenes and appears to flicker when the background is black. 4 hdmi ports are good. Would recommend if you're not OCD about the picture quality"

"Looks great as has very thin frame. Has the option of adding a USB storage device so that you can set programmes to record (great feature).
Can download apps like weather, you tube etc.
Small gripe...the remote control is shaped like it should be pointing towards rather than away from you. Soon get used to it though.
Also on powering up after being in stand by, it often says that there is no signal, this disappears as soon as you press the channel button to go up and down programmes. On the whole, a decent TV."
