"I can't fault the look or ease of use, the picture is very good (when it's a bright scene), and overall (so far - only had the tv for about a week) I'm happy.
However, there are some negatives. On dark scenes, or on scenes where there is some dark and some light, the backlights cause a very weird effect down the whole length of the screen where that area is being back lit, almost making it less clear.
I bought this tv because a big deal was made about the HDR, and contrast between light and dark and also the fact that the back lights were independent, meaning that small sections of the screen could be back lit without effecting the rest of the screen.
I can say now that if this is what they mean, it is really poor. So perhaps my set has a fault, but if not, then this is a pretty big let down of the set as a whole. I have searched all of the settings and can't find a way of adjusting this so have to assume it can't be.
For that reason, 3 stars. If that doesn't bother you at all, then this is a decent tv."

"Mostly other reviews were positive and after doing some research I decided to go with it and I am over the moon with it. I believe some of the negative comments appear to be around the screen quality which I cannot fathom why. There are several settings to optimise this and every room/house is different. The clarity is night and day different to our previous LG HD and Toshiba HD TV's. Smart features are fast and easy to use. Netflix 4K is amazing, even the Freeview HD is amazing but the LG UBK80 4K Blu-ray player married to it is breathtaking.
Allround the colours are rich, the blacks are black and the whites are white, again you may have to find the best setting for you to get this but boy does it look good. The internal speakers aren't to bad either but it would be rude not to pair it to a soundbar wouldn't it ;)"
