"This was the first dryer we ordered, and after an hour of use I was contacting AO for an alternative. Candy, Hoover and Baumatic is in fact the same manufacturer despite me being told different. I was sent the Baumatic as a replacement and experienced the same problem and I have now returned both and received a refund.
The reason I required an alternative product was due to extreme condensation down the front, around the door and down the sides dripping onto the floors forming a puddle and down my newly fitted kitchen sides. And this was without a worktop or door attached yet so dread to think how bad this would be with those.
The diagram/video shows a standard 600 integrated space and it does indeed fit, however the booklet says to allow 12mm either side for ventilation. Due to kitchen being fitted and the door being 600 that was my reasoning for asking an alternate as it was mis-sold with those measurements and no note of the 12mm either side.
The 2nd dryer came and did the same, reluctantly we accommodated the 12mm either side by moving the end panel knowing it would leave an unsightly gap around the door. Despite the required space it still had condensation down the fronts and sides. What’s more infuriating is that the dryers actually dried the clothes nicely, and in a reasonable time in comparison to our old dryer. But it is an expensive product initially without costing extra money to replace kitchen parts in the long run or mould that would eventually form due to the constant state of damp that would be if we kept this.
Product is not fit for purpose as an ‘integrated appliance’ and unfortunately the market is extremely limited for integrated dryers we are currently reviewing options for our home. "

"Bought this Candy heat pump tumble dryer thinking that it would dry my washing to what it says on all the different programmes but unfortunately it doesn't. When set on any programme its performance is poor. When set on cottons cupboard dry, which should be the driest programme, I always have to set the programme again for the 2nd time because the washing is still very wet which takes 3 hours to dry in total. Definitely not impressed. "

"Good intergrated dryer. Serves its purpose, drys clothes in around 2 hours which is usual drying time for heat pump/condenser dryers. Clothes feel a bit damp when you first take them out of the dryer but if you give them a little shake they dry straight away it's just because its humid inside the dryer."
