"We had a Samsung American fridge before this one , for the last 7 years. This one is not as big definitely in the freezer compartment as the ice maker takes up nearly 2 shelves worth at the top where as the old one had it built into the door , and the fridge is smaller as well but the size of the whole unit is the same as the old one? Also beware that the water filter is external so to change it which is about every 6 months if it's at the back you will have to pull the fridge out to change it if you can mount it in an adjoining cupboard that is a better idea , again our old one had it mounted inside the fridge so open fridge door , unscrew and fit new one I think the externally mounted ones are a step backwards. "
