"Very very happy with service from AO from start to finish.
Previously owned a Samsung American fridge freezer which failed after 18 years. This replacement is great .
Pros
Larger capacity in the same outer shell as improved insulation quality means the walls of the fridge are thinner.
This model comes with 10 year compressor warranty which isn’t clear on the description on the web site.
Looks fantastic, though the concealed handles are taking a while to get used to.
Much improved freezer capacity.
Cons
Samsung have used the traditional door hinge system which doesn’t really accommodate the wider internal fittings. Drawers in fridge or freezer difficult to open and fridge door needs to open 170 degrees before drawers can pull out. If you get it wrong you damage the sensitive black coating on the doors.
No meat and cheese drawer. I am really missing this aspect of my older fridge.
Black paint job very prone to marks and scratches. . Fridge magnets have been banned.
External water filter. To generate interior capacity the filter sits in the supply pipe outside the fridge. Fine if you can conceal is in a neighbouring cupboard. Not great if fridge stands alone. If attached to wall behind fridge will need about 10cm gap behind.
Glass shelves quite sharp edges, not encased in a plastic frame like previous model. Looks good, but don’t feel secure. "
