Great hob

"Really like the diamond design of the burners, feels like a big chunky hob, but it is exactly the same size as my old Bosch. The colour is great, can get a bit streaky if not wiped properly after cleaning but this isn’t really a problem. Overall great hob, good quality and value for money."

Top Quality Bosch Gas Hob

"We put up with an induction hob for a few years and now we are back with a fantastic Bosch Gas Hob with a smart diamond configuration and a wok burner. Looks smart and compliments the other Bosch appliances in our kitchen. Would highly recommend this product as it represents excellent value for money."

Gas hob

"Great looking hob with cast iron plates that’s just moved my kitchen into the 21st century, wok burner works great and the diamond hob layout is so much more practical for cooking with four pans.

The flame select function is another nice feature that works great."

Excellent Gas Hob

"The design of the gas hob is made so elegantly that you can place wok style containers on all four burners with ease. Looks elegant and has the best feature of cutting off gas supply if left on unintentionally or due to loss of fire. 9 settings make it more economical so you can use only what is needed on each burner.

The only drawback found was that finger marks come on to the burner, but with a wipe its really hard to notice."

Great looking hob with diamond layout, accurate heat levels with safety cut off

"I bought this hob purely on basis of it's features and online reviews, and if I am honest a bit of a 'leap of faith'. I visited all my local DIY / home appliance stores to see the hob in action in person and did not find a single store that had a demo available. I hesitantly went ahead and bought it online anyway but thankfully I need not have worried about a thing!

Positives:

Layout - 4 hobs nicely arranged in a diamond formation allowing greater practical convenience for placing two larger pots or pans side by side which isn't always possible with the traditional square layout.

Design - cool sleek stainless steel look, with 4 knobs at the front. Turning the knobs anti clockwise and pressing down ignite the respective burners. It looks great as a showpiece to the kitchen, and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Especially when you have just replaced a very old tatty electric ceramic hob. Bosch score highly on style although finger print marks are a bit of a pain.

Safety - testing out the safety cut off, blowing out the flame will result in the gas supply being automatically being cut off after a couple of seconds. This was absolutely essential for me as it could be a potential lifesaver and prevent your home going up in flames.

Wok burner - the hob on left is a wokburner so has dual flames (smaller inner flame as well as main outer ring). This offers a good output of 4kw for powerful and allows quick cooking of stir frys amongst other uses.

Flameselect - this features 9 levels of flame output. This can be viewed in one of two ways, 1) You lose some control of the heat output as you would an unlimited variable control or in my opinion 2) having a fixed level output for each hob allows you to better control the heat to a specific level to give you more consistency in your cooking rather than have to constantly go up or down midway - taking some of the guesswork away.

The not so good:

Fingerprints - By it's nature, the brushed stainless steel (whilst beautiful to look at) and fingerprints are definitely not a match made in heaven! it is annoying as they are quite obvious but will eventually wipe down with moisture and then wipe clean with a dry cloth. I am being picky as its still quite new and i am sure in time it won't bother me any more whether there are a few smudges here or there.

Cast iron pan stands seem a little lightweight - if that is indeed what they are called, they don't seem to be as robust looking as what i am used to in freestanding gas cookers. This may be down to the need to keep the package and overall weight down to a minimum and nature of it being a gas hob. I may be paranoid but really hope it stands up to the day to day wear.

So overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it for it's practicality, safety and looks. It may not be my dream AGA or Rangemaster but if like me you are limited for space and want something a bit nicer than the budget range hobs which lack wok burners or additional safety features then this won't let you down. Well, it hasn't in the few weeks I have had it and hope it won't for years to come!
