"Very impressed with this dishwasher!

Installation took about 2.5 hours. Installation instructions are very detailed and each step has a QR code link for you to watch that installation step as a video on your phone.

Plan ahead and arrange all the parts that come with the machine so you know what part goes where.

Replacing my old dishwasher I noted that the Bosch dishwasher is 45cm wide (same as old machine) but appears to be about 5cm shorter in height than my old dishwasher but actually the usable space inside the machine is more. Therefore I had to install this Bosch and extend the adjustable feet under the machine to about 5cm. The front 2 feet are a bit fiddly to begin adjusting - had to use long nosed pliers to get in to 'grab' each foot for the first couple of turns. Once the feet are adjusted a bit they expose a hex fitting you can get a spanner around. The whole foot is plastic so don't know how durable they are to spanner usage.

The rear foot (single foot in the middle of the machine at the back) is adjusted from the front using a flat bladed screwdriver - very easy to do! The feet can be extended to 6cm.

Being a fully integrated appliance you can fit your cupboard door on the front - it doesn't come with any door so you need to do that. Door fixings are included, which comprises of 2 metal hooks which screw in to the back of your cupboard door and this hangs on the front of the dishwasher. 2 double sided velcro pads hold the door in position whilst you then screw in the 6 Torx T20 screws - so make sure you have a Torx screwdriver handy!! My cupboard door handle screws were not flush to the back of the door so had to countersink them - the door does sit tight to the front of the appliance, held in place by those torx screws.

Dishwasher connects to a cold water feed, 240V mains feed and a waste supply - all standard stuff. The cold water feed hose is thicker than a regular hose, plus the end which connects to the water supply had an Aquastop unit in to. This has some electronics which are housed in a plastic casing at the end of the hose - so if you're having to thread the hose through in to a cupboard or something the casing means that you'll need to have a larger hole to thread the hose through than maybe with a regular hose - so bear that in mind!

Machine is very quiet - I mean it is whisper quiet. I particularly like the function which projects the time remaining on to the kitchen floor so you can see if the machine is running - the feature alternates between displaying the time remaining and what the machine is doing at the time (washing, rinsing, drying). It's reassuring because you know the machine is operating because the thing is so quiet you'd hardly notice it.

The trays inside the machine are all configurable - you can adjust the height of the middle basket, and both the bottom basket and middle basket have adjustable prongs so if you want to load something flat in the basket, like a pan or wok or frying pan, the prongs can be folded down so the pan etc can sit flat , and once done you can unfold the prongs and load your plates in!

Still getting to know the machine's program options as there are a few to choose from (eco, glass, quiet etc) and other features like time delayed-start, extra drying cycles etc, but overall I am very impressed with the machine.

As said it is very quiet - our living room, dining room, kitchen is all open plan so you had to turn the TV up when the old dishwasher was in use. Last night we had the new Bosch dishwasher running, TV was at normal volume and I kept going out to the kitchen to see if the Bosch was actually working as I couldn't hear it!"
