Great look and so far great to use

"Slight critism over the knob are and look very plastic.

Have not needed the booklet so far so intuitive to use. Have not tried the cleaning function yet"

Fabulous double oven

"I purchased a Neff double oven as I was very happy with my previous Neff double oven, which lasted more than 15 years. I have down graded ease of cleaning, due to the fact that the door cannot be removed to wipe the inside of the oven. On my previous Neff, the doors could be removed by lifting some clips and lifting the door out, which made cleaning very easy and meant I didn’t need to lean over the door to get inside the oven. Not sure why Neff changed this, but in my opinion, not a good amendment to the design. That said however, Neff do make the best ovens!"

Cool technology combined with good looks

"This is everything I wanted in an oven. It is packed with practical technology which really helps to cook food evenly and is easy to clean! It looks great in the black and silver with two push-out button controls which can then easily be pushed back in ensuring a sleek look. It also has a digital clock which is easy to set up and use. The top oven, (which I mainly use for grilling or Yorkshire puddings when the main oven is full) has a conventional oven setting which works very well, as well as small and large grill functions and even a cleaning function. I would say that this is a very practical top oven though the addition of a grill pan handle would have been useful. However, it's in the main oven where the magic happens! It's a generous oven at around 70 liters and has one telescopic slide shelf which enables me to slide out the shelf to take a quick peek or add a topping without any of the usual mishaps. There are 10 functions in all including a Light function which is really handy when cleaning, a really good Pizza function which sends heat up from the base of the oven to give a crisp crust, a Rapid Heat function which means food can be put straight into the oven without having to warm it up for 10 minutes, a Gentle Heat function which I haven't tried yet but is meant to be perfect for the careful cooking of roasts, It even has a main grill located at the top of the of the oven which I have used when cooking pork chops, as well as two cleaning functions. This oven is so easy to clean, I can chose between a quick 21 minute function where I put water on the bottom then simply wipe the inside after or, a super clean where the oven heats up for one hour at a high heat causing any grease or food splatters to oxidise which I can then simply wipe off, brilliant! This oven also benefits from Neffs Circotherm technology which circulates air evenly resulting in evenly cooked and/or baked dishes at the same time without transferring strong tastes to other foods. I'm so glad we chose this Neff Double Oven and I would definitely recommend it. "

Excellent oven for all types of cooking

"Looks / build quality - The first thing that stands out with this oven is the quality of the build. The top control panel is a glass covered black which looks really good and contrasts the silver surrounds very well. The control buttons are chunky and feel sturdy. They pop in and out to improve the sleek design and allow easy cleaning. There is a digital clock and timer which is adjusted using two touch buttons on the same panel. Further down, the oven doors are not too heavy but again feel like they will last. Each oven has a halogen light that comes on with cooking, but can also be turned on without heat, for example, when cleaning.

Top oven - the smaller top oven is 34 litres. It has a conventional oven, bottom-fired oven, small and large grill function as well as a cleaning function. We have used this oven primarily as a grill. This grill heats up quickly and effectively. There are two grill settings, which allow only a portion of the grill to heat up if you are doing something a bit smaller, e.g. cheese on toast. The oven is large enough to fit parts of a Sunday roast in, e.g.tray of roast potatoes and carrots, but would struggle to fit a joint of meat in. However, we have found that the cooking quality is not compromised in this smaller oven. The smaller oven comes with one grill tray and one oven shelf. Having had previous Neff ovens, this model does not include the grill pan wire shelf which we have found invaluable over the years and this is something that we feel should be included. Additionally, there is no grill pan handle which is not a huge problem but would have been nice to be in the pack. Please note that the smaller oven does not have the telescopic sliders.

The main oven is 71 litres. It has 4 shelves, 1 of which has the telescopic shelf sliders. The bottom oven comes with two shelves. It is rare that a 3rd shelf would be used in this oven, but if so can be taken out of the smaller upper oven. The telescopic slider is useful when you cannot see if your food is ready - however, the light is pretty powerful and it is quite easy to just look through the oven door most of the time.

In my opinion, the main oven is the best bit of this model.

There are 10 functions included in this main oven. They include halogen light, rapid heat function, circotherm heat function, gentle cook function, pizza oven function, grill and circotherm grill, conventional oven and 2 cleaning functions.

The oven has a rapid heat setting which pre-heats the oven to your desired temperature in minutes. The circotherm function essentially distributes the air evenly around the oven to allow even cooking / baking. A good function is that this can also be combined with the grill, for example, if you are cooking a lasagne or fish pie. We have used this when making these dishes and found the consistency of the cooking is really good. Due to this technology, the flavours do not seem to spread to other things in the oven which is a real bonus. The gentle cook function is ideal for roasts and we have used this to good effect roasting meat, when a slower, lower temperature cook is required.

The pizza function is AMAZING, especially if you are making DIY pizza and need a lovely cooked dough with a crispy base. The oven sends most of its heat from below on this setting. This is my favourite function of this oven and means I do not have the hassle of firing up the pizza oven outside any more! (Which often is helpful in the UK when it is pouring with rain)

The conventional oven is recommended when baking. Personally, I have not really noticed the difference in cooking between that and the circotherm function - we have found baking goods cook well on either setting. There is a cooking setting that heats from below for baking flans etc which is also handy but rarely needed.

We rarely need to use the grill in the bottom oven on its own thanks to the upper oven, but as stated before, we will sometimes switch to the circotherm grill when finishing off certain foods in the main oven.

Both ovens are quiet both in use and afterwards when the cooling fan is on.

A great improvement with this model is the ease of cleaning. The front is easily wiped down and cleaned. The pop-in buttons make this much more manageable. Both ovens have a cleaning function, and have liners on the sides, back and top which self-clean. The self-clean takes about an hour. This does not have to be used that often in our experience. A great addition to the bottom oven is the bottom floor cleaning function (there is no self-cleaning plate on the floor of either oven). You simply place some water and washing up liquid on the bottom of the oven and turn this setting on for about 20 minutes. After that, any fat that has etched onto the enamel is easily wiped off. This is great when you feel that your oven needs a deep clean! (The glass doors can be removed to be cleaned but we have not done this).

In summary, this Neff oven is a great all-round double oven for a family or someone who likes cooking for groups. It is easy on the eye and Neff have done their best to ensure cleaning is straightforward. I would definitely recommend!

PROS - quiet, easy to use, good quality, looks great, lots of functions for versatility

CONS - no grill pan wire shelf, only one telescopic runner

Fantastic Oven with all the features (even Self Cleans)

"Wow! I love this double oven, being from Neff you straight the way know you are going to have a great build quality but with so many cooking functions as well as self clean modes in both the bottom and top oven, this just keeps getting better!

The Telescopic sliding gliders are a great addition meaning its even easier to check on your food by just sliding the shelf out and back in again once you've finished.

With cooking functions such as pizza mode, gentle cooking and Neff's own CircoTherm technology means that cooking flavours won't mix if you are cooking more than one food at once.

The oven is rapid at heating up but if you can't wait a minute or so, there even a Rapid heating function for even shorter times.

The look of this oven is fantastic and really gives the impression of being a top quality oven as well as cooking like it too.! Thumps up from me!"
