"Bought this to replace the tired and broken one the previous owner left. Thought I might as well spend more and get the nice 5 year warranty period!
The machine is great, it has a lot of capacity, and it is surprisingly quiet. It's very convenient to be able to delay the end of the program rather than the start, so the machine will do the maths for you. The washes so far have come out nicely, and the machine has its own ability to self test and ask you for the periodic self clean cycles.
It looks good too with that space age door, and I like the little song it plays when it's done :-). "

"I've swapped my mobile phone to samsung and now swapped my washing machine brand to them too. It's a solid machine that is quieter when in use than most conventional models and brands.
Controls and display are easy to use and clear. Good results with clean clothes and amazing freshness.
No worry for 5 years with 5 year guarantee too and 10 year motor.
Only thing I dislike is the constant starting and stopping when taking water for the rinse cycle. I think it should be programmed so that water can be taken in one go. This causes the house water pipes
to shake.
Am expecting many great years of service. "

"This Samsung washer dryer was purchased to replace an 11 years old Zanussi model that started to struggle drying clothes.
Before ordering I had measured the space several times and compared the old model's measurements to this one so I was expecting it to be just 2cm deeper. I'm not sure how the manufacturer measured it but once fully against the wall under the counter-top, the machine sticks out much further than expected. If you include the door and program selection wheel, it comes to about 74cm in depth which is significantly more than the 65cm quoted and deeper than a standard kitchen counter-top which was disappointing.
Upon fitting it we found that the drain hose supplied is quite shorter than the old one. Our drain pipe is fitted under the sink which is to the left of the machine and it was just about long enough to reach but didn't have much spare. If your drain pipe is to the right of where the washer is then you'd have an easier time.
These two minus points aside, the washer dryer looks good and modern with a large black door with chrome trim, large drum and a good selection of programs.
At first it is recommended to run a calibration to allow the machine to accurately determine the weight of clothing for the automatic programs. This is when you notice the long tune it plays when it ends a program; and I mean it is long! Thankfully you can turn sounds off.
As per the specifications there are a good number of programs which you can adjust manually to change the number of rinses, spin speed or dry level.
When drying you can manually select the time to dry in 30 minutes increments or you can let the machine determine the time automatically based on weight. It initially shows a standard time but after a few spins it adjusts it based on the load. I have found this mode quite efficient.
I haven't tried the Air Wash modes yet but they allow you to deodorise or deodorise and sanitise clothing without using water. The maximum load recommended is 1kg and the cycles last 29 minutes to and hour according to the manual.
The most noticeable thing for me though is how quiet the machine is compared to our old one. Even in spin mode you can hardly hear it when in the same room, or not at all in the next room.
I would definitely recommend this model however take note of the depth comment as it is an annoying thing to find out on delivery. We'll learn to live with it sticking out."

"After my washing machine died my children helped out by ruining every set of clothes they got near in two days flat. I ordered this one based on its reviews and thankfully the drum is the size of the Death Star so you can’t fit a huge amount in there - it happily took a full king size set of bedding and another load of adult clothing. It is also blissfully silent - with the utility door shut I can barely hear it until it play it's whimsical tune upon cycle completion. The only down side is that the drying cycle could be a bit more aggressive for drying out toddler based accidents. That really is the only minor point but I am still getting to know the cycles..."

"The emergency drainage hose is not in a great place. It very easily gets lost in the machine; caused a great deal of stress! The wash quality is great though."
