"So far this little hob is quite impressive. I normally use gas, but I am impressed with the speed of boiling and the fine control of heat and response. The minute timer is useful. I'm not yet sure about the fancier functions. I haven't used the boost function as it hasn't been necessary and my tri-ply pans might not like that too much in any case. I invested in this to go alongside my Smeg gas hob, which struggles to get a low simmer. I've even melted chocolate directly on top of this, and it simmers beautifully, so it does exactly what I wanted it to."
