"I hadn't heard of the Haier brand before getting this machine but wish I had! I was contemplating a Samsung machine but they are 2 or 3 times the price for a 10kg load capacity.
The pros.
This machine is so quiet. The loudest part is filling up with water and draining the water during the spin. It's as quiet as our dishwasher which is superb. Our last machine was really noisy on the spin so this is like a dream come true compared to that.
It's very easy to use. I think that some machines make their controls unnecessarily complicated - this is really easy. The dial to change program is a joy to turn. There's a firm and precise click as you rotate it and an LED to show which programme is selected. Once you've selected a programme you can change the spin speed and temperature easily which is great. I think some machines lock you in so that you can only do certain washes at each temperature, this doesn't. When you turn the machine on again after a few days, it remembers the last position which is also handy since we tend to use the same programmes. The main programmes are a 2 hour cotton wash (standard), a fast 1 hour wash, a super quick 15 minute wash, duvet specific settings, hand wash setting, wool wash setting and loads more.
The delay feature is also great. You can increase the delay by pushing the button and it shows you the end time of the cycle, in 30 minute increments. It rounds up to the nearest 30 minutes on the first one so if your normal cycle is say 48 minutes, the first delay option is 1 hour (so 12 minute delay), while the next one is 1:30, 2 hours etc. This is really helpful because it makes it much easier to count when you want it to finish. I'd have no problems running this late at night or early in the morning too, because it's so quiet.
Huge load capacity! 10kg! My last machine was 7 and I thought that was OK, this is amazing! For example I changed the bed the other day and just pulled off the mattress protector and threw that in as well - no problem, because of the huge capacity.
I have to say that I think it looks great too. The big black door, though you can’t see into the machine when it’s running, is super slick and the machine looks very modern and fits into our kitchen really well. I contemplated a grey or silver machine but worry they might look dated in a few years, I don’t think this will.
The cons.
I find the manual quite basic and doesn’t give you much information. For example there’s a child lock function but the manual doesn’t mention it. A quick search online told me how it works though. It also doesn’t go into much detail on the difference between the programmes so there are a few programmes that I’d be a little unsure what they do, or how they’re different, but I’ll probably use them when the time comes anyway.
Conclusion
I’d definitely recommend this machine. It’s very quiet, looks great and has a superb range of programmes. We have a small baby so do loads of washing and this can handle everything we throw at it.
It’s very easy to use and look great in my kitchen. I seriously love using this washing machine! Who knew you could get so excited about laundry!"

"Looks a bit "space age"? yeah it does! It's probably one of the coolest, well-designed washing machines around. Even the dial looks like it's been designed by Jony Ive!
Packed full with features and customisable settings, this washing machine will not disappoint. I have been able to get even better cleaning out of the same conditions as my previous washing machine, but just by changing the settings on the machine. Impressed!
Huge drum, large entrance, so easy to get those large items like coats or duvets in without issue, and with the direct drive motor.... well it's a dream to wash with. Low noise, virtually no rattle or squeaking, and it even comes with a lifetime warranty on the motor too! Now that's some confidence.
All round, the machine oozes high-end design, but delivers with true cleaning ability. I seriously cannot fault this machine in any way.

"Haier is not a brand i'm familiar with, but any apprehensions i had were soon put aside by it's fantastic performance.
The thing that stands out the most in this machine is the motor, it is a direct drive so there is no belt attached to a pulley making it the quietest washing machine i have ever had. Plus the motor itself has an outstanding 30 year warranty, amazing!
I have used most of the programmes available, and there are plenty, all have achieved great results, there is even a fast wash of 1 hour and an even quicker 15 min wash cycle for 1 or 2 items.
It is a very attractive looking machine with the addition of a large porthole style door with a black frosted glass front, ideal for that extra bit of privacy as you cannot see the contents of the drum on display to the world.
The most striking thing about this machine when using it, is just how quiet it is, apart from the obvious pump noise when draining you can hardly hear a thing.
There is a large LCD display in the middle of the panel which is easy to read and you have the extra buttons to reduce the temperature or spin etc, although the LCD screen does not display what stage the machine is at you still have the countdown timer to rely on. The appliance is so simple to use and even the manual is very straight forward.
There are a couple of negatives, when installing the machine the waste pipe is a little short, although i just managed to fit it you may find yourself buying an extra bit of drain pipe from your D.I.Y store to compensate.
But all in all this is a really good machine, and if your after a VERY QUIET washing machine look no further than the Haier Hatrium !"

"This is a very good washer. I brought it without being able to find any reviews and purely on its noice statistics as it was going in an open plan area. The washer is very very quiet, the only time I can hear it is when it’s on it’s final spin. This leads to one of its few negatives. It’s so quiet you don’t notice it finish. It’s doesnt beep or click like most other machines so if you have multiple loads to wash you need to set a timer on your phone.
The machine is very well made and very easy to use. There’s more cycles than you could ever need too. You need to make sure you get it delivered as close to were it’s being fitted too. To say it’s heavy for a washer is a massive under statement. I had it delivered to a work address then we struggled to lift it up into the van. 74kg is a lot on your own. Another point to consider is the depth of this washer. It only just fits flush with the cupboards where the old one was at least 100mm smaller so this could cause issues if you have pipe work behind it. Very happy over all. "

"This Haier Hatrium HW100-B14636 is a pleasure to review. Upon unpacking, it was simple to fit with seemingly good looking build quality all round. The only minor issue on installation was the secured transit bolts were so firmly fitted that they split and fell in the back of the machine. This was no real hardship, as access to the rear via a panel was easily gained to retrieve the bolts.
The dispenser feels slightly back-to-front in setup but was easily loaded once I'd checked the simple to use manual. Loading was smooth and seamless through the pleasant to handle door and the huge 10kg drum catered easily for our family of four.
Paint-covered uniforms and mud-covered overalls all came out spotless. Not only that, but on all spin cycles used so far the clothes retained very little moisture.
The main selling point though, is the astoundingly quiet direct drive motor. Seriously, our dishwasher is noisier that this Haier on a spin cycle! This means we can use it reliably overnight without waking the kids; thank you so much Haier!
It'll take us a while to try all the settings and programmes, but the ease of customisation is also a key feature of this product. Well made and easy to use, it makes doing the laundry a pleasure."
