"Very pleased with this item, it is a vast improvement over the sound from my Samsung UHD tv. Some will say it doesn’t need a subwoofer but for the full movie experience I will be adding one in the future."

"Love this soundbar it works really well, is easy to set up and sounds great. If I had one negative it would be that I haven’t yet found a way to connect an external subwoofer but the bass is actually very good as it is! Would definitely recommend!"

"Spent a long time researching for a soundbar to match my newly purchased LG 55inch OLED screen. Didnt really want any satellite speakers or sub for simple clean lines. Despite being over a year old, its still winning reviews and rightly so. Simple setup (for me ARC HDMI cable) , easy to hang on the wall with supplied fixings. Initially it seems underwhelming, but ensure you have smart sound on and give it a few hours to bed in and its truly sublime. Added benefit is that the LG volume control controls the bar and it automatically turns on and off. Sound is clean, with good bass (level 4 of 6) and boy does it go loud!. If you want a great single solution this is it, I couldnt find a 2018/19 system that was better for the money. I was happy without Dolby Atmos too. You can if you wish add rear satellites and/or a sub but they arent cheap. Love it, as it gets cheaper gets more and more of a bargain. Buy one"

"The Samsung H-MS650 is a solid and well engineered piece of equipment. I bought it to match my Samsung 55" UHD TV and to retire my veteran LG 5.1 surround system. While there's no doubting it's a big improvement on the TV's built in speakers and clarity and detail are excellent there is no way, in spite of the claims, that the bass and stereo/surround effects match a five speaker and sub-woofer set up for that cinematic experience. Even with the bass turned up to 6 (maximum) in the Movie setting and the EQ tweaked to boost the low-end it doesn't produce that deep rumble that makes the hairs on your neck stand up. I suspect at a later date I will want to add a sub-woofer and rear speakers before fully retiring the old LG 5.1 speakers, that connect via optical cable from my Blu-ray.
Size wise the unit is just about low enough in front of my Samsung 7 series 55" TV not to mask the IR receiver but too wide to slot between the legs of the stand. Therefore you need a fairly deep shelf on your TV unit to accommodate one in front of the other. You'll need 38cm as a minimum depth on your shelf or unit. Wall mounting options seem well catered for but weren't suitable in our living room setting.
Set up was easy. I went for the HDMI through the ARC sockets so the TV remote can control the sound bar. I tried Blu ray HDMI into the sound bar but it worked more simply directly into the TV. I read that HDMI can carry more data than optical and therefore better represent the latest sound technology.
Connecting to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth was also straightforward. I can play my iPhone music through it should I wish but it will never replace my hi-fi.
A good soundbar but not a one box solution for cinematic sound."

"The item itself was exactly as required. Easy to instal and connect to Wi-Fi and Tv. Excellent sound quality too. Really happy.
