"I hated my old hob from day one. Spent a lot of money on an all-singing, all dancing ceramic hob with safety cut off features etc etc. It switched itself off if you so much as breathed on it wrong, but wouldn't respond to your finger.

My new hotpoint does not have the so called safety cut off feature so have had no problems with the hob constantly turning itself off. It is responsive to touch, easy to use (especially if you have had a ceramic hob before) looks good. I like the controls being to the side as you're less likely to catch them accidentally when you're standing in front of it. I can wipe down splashes during cooking without the controls going mad and switching off.

So pleased with it. Good riddance to the old (4 years only before it packed up) one. "

Disappointed

"This hob is awful. Keeps switching off and the instructions are useless maybe a fault with the hob but will phone and find out. Took me nearly 2 hours to boil some potatoes ! "

"A bit disappointed. Touch controls are a but of a faff, if you cooking on 2 or more rings and need to switch off just one of them, it seems you don't have this option, you have to switch off all of them and again turn on the one you want to continue using. Nothing in manual to explain if it's even possible to turn off just one of the rings.

Also two big rings are on left side, so you using them simultaneously there is not enough space for two big pots/pans next to each other. Do prefer rings as they are on Hotpoint hob with buttons. Wish I would have ordered the other one now, but thought this one would look better and cleaning would be easier. Already some marks on surface which I cannot remove and I am cleaning it every evening and I am not a messy cook.Have been using this hob for a month now."
