"Looks nice but makes very strange clicking noises after it’s heated up for a while, sounds like it comes from the internal workings, it’s not the glass.
Also, it doesn’t seem to heat up as much as my last hob, I don’t have to turn the heat down from the top setting while cooking veg, whereas my last one heated up quicker.
I was concerned as I’ve never known this with a hob before- I called Hotpoint only to be told “because it’s a base level hob” it’s usual for it to make these noises!
I’m not convinced it will last long. Next time I will pay more and get another Neff hob as my last one was still going strong after 20 years. "
