"Bought this product for a kitchen refit. The hob was put in by an electrician with no issues and switched on to see it was working. He then went through instructions and showed me how it worked.
Used the fast boil with a small pan of water. The hob made a strange noise and the glass cracked. Item is now unusable and crack runs between both small hot plates. Its dangerous, terrible customer support from HOTPOINT/WHIRLPOOL and AO didn't seem that bothered either. Really angry that we are expected to deal with the situation with little to no support from anyone.
Only offer made is a visit from a technician in a weeks time!! What am I supposed to do with a family to feed and no appliance in working order.
DO NOT PURCHASE clearly not fit for purpose. "

"I bought this to replace a gas hob. This is my first electric hob and I have been using this for nearly one week and, so far, it is great and much better than my old hob. My favourite feature is the timer that automatically turns off the ring. "

"Not that impressed with this hotpoint HR607 electric hob, which turned up a day late.
Fitted the hob and connections, when we started using one of the rings, we couldn't turn it down, the heat adjustment only went up!
Had to switch off at mains, as on/off button didn't work either (clearly not safe!)
Switched back on after a few minutes, display lit up but none of the touch screen buttons would work.
