Great product!

"Replaced my old fridge by another manufacturer for this product. Amazed at how quiet this fridge is! informational booklet that came with this product was easy to understand and helped us get up and running quickly. Very happy so far."

Great product, well thought out with minor niggles

"The Bosch fridge freezer is a very good product, it runs very quietly and a nice size, plenty of room for your veg, with a great cheese and meat separation boxes.. love the egg rack and there is plenty of room for all the other produce. The freezer compartment, well it is a freezer compartment. Unfortunately like everything nothing is perfect and until you use an item you cannot find it faults and this does have them, every thing does.

The fridge door is a nice solid door and closes quietly but you do have to make sure close it otherwise you think you have and when you return to fridge three hours later wondering why it is warm! User error, but very easy to do. The door shelf’s there are too many of them, so you have to remove the middle one so that you can stand a four pint bottle of opened milk on the bottom shelf, not enough height room for tall bottles or jars. It appears makers have forgotten about large ketchup bottles/ jars etc. Not to be out done place the shelf rack on one of the shelf’s and use it to contain small jars as you now cannot store on the door. Wine holder give it a miss, holds Two bottles do you are either chilling two all the time, if not and only chilling one, the other side is not wide enough/ big enough to hold any other type of bottles so just gets in the way and uses unnecessary space. As for the ice cube rack, either make it deeper, or get rid of. I would use the whole tray with one gin and tonic and then have to wait hours for the next lot to freeze before having another, not good. The fridge goes back along way, well appears to so if you are short like me get a step stool to reach the back on the TOP shelf. No seriously the fridge is spacious and a well made fridge, even with the niggly items the fridge was well worth the purchase, love it ."

Addendum to my earlier review. (3rd october)

"Whilst the top drawer in the freezer looks like it has capacity, the back third is considerably shorter than the front - so, after loading our shopping, I cannot close the drawer properly - the 'roof of the freezer compartment slopes down from about the halfway point. This means even more time is taken juggling things round since not all frozen foods come conveniently bagged. Boxes and items in plastic trays are a particular pain since you cannot stack items past the halfway point of the drawer - what genius came up with that idea? I guess my old, ageing, smaller fridge freezer lulled me into a false sense of spaciousness since the specs are telling me that this new machine has much, much more capacity (although where, exactly, this capacity is still eludes me)."

Great!!

"This is great it holds loads! Looks great. Can hold 3, 4 pint bottles in the shelf although the middle door self has to come out to accommodate milk. The fridge drawer is perfect for veg and fruit, keeps the food for longer. The big middle freezer drawer is perfect for getting big things in, no problem for my turkey this Christmas. No problems so far. "

Fantastic item - great design

"So pleased with this fridge freezer - it fits beautifully into my kitchen and compliments it so well. Just the right size and I love the alarm to remind me when a door has been left open in error."

Designed by someone who never uses a fridge?

"I wish I'd seen this product 'in the flesh' so to speak. To start with - initial cleaning "use a little pH neutral washing up liquid". Of course, my wife takes this as gospel and so, off we trot around every supermarket in the area. Not one product mentions pH neutral. In the end, I resorted to a bucket of warm water.

Whilst this has a much larger capacity than my old FF, the interior is badly designed. With the 3 door shelves in place, there isn't room to fit large milk containers (we buy the large 4 pint. With the middle shelf removed from the door, the 4 pint carton fits sideways in the shelf) and much the same story with the glass shelves in the fridge, many products in jars must be refrigerated once opened and some jars are simply too large - so I can move a shelf up, but that space becomes too narrow.

...Could do with additional shelf positions in the door and a slightly wider bottom shelf. My old FF had a wide bottom shelf so the 4 pint carton could be stored with the handle facing out, towards you, they also provided a set of plastic 'fingers' which attached to the shelf to hold narrower bottles.

As for the freezer, someone might thing it's a great idea to have 1 huge drawer, but once you get loads of frozen food in there, I wonder how the handle and runners will cope with all the weight? I know it is sold with the idea that you can remove it to store, e.g. a turkey, but you can do that with most freezers. I have 10 litres more capacity in this freezer and 22litres more in the fridge yet struggled to fit everything in when I transferred it across.

I've not had this style of appliance before, where the back is solid and the heat transfer tubes are hidden so I don't know if it's normal for there to be hot spots on the sides - some areas on either side feel far hotter than others!

I don't know if this comes in other colours, but black shows up every fingerprint - something to bear in mind.

On the plus side.

Despite being 32litres larger than my old FF, it's physically shorter! (I'm kinda wishing I'd paid the extra and gone for the next size up).

Those freezer drawers look like they are constructed in two parts and meant to come apart. Whilst my old appliance lasted, the drawers suffered & were quite expensive to replace. (Clear Duct tape is a godsend!)

The noise level is listed as 39dB. To be honest, I've only heard it running once - when I first plugged it in but it's definitely working as you can feel the icy chills when you open the doors.

Would I recommend to a friend? Maybe. I would say to go and have a look at one first & remember that the bottom door shelf is 'just' tall enough for a 2pint carton of milk."
