Still under review

"My kitchen fitter didn't have the best of times fitting this. Advertised as built under but he said from the dimensions of it, it's more like a built in oven. Taller than kitchen cabinets so he had a job to try to find the extra space somehow. Not had a chance to use this much yet for anything more substantial than pizza or chicken nuggets for my son (ok, don't judge lol). I've only ever had a single cavity oven where you couldn't use the grill and oven at the same time. So I like the fact that you can use both the top and the bottom at the same time to cook things requiring a different function or heat setting, even if I did burn the garlic bread by having the shelf too high.

Seems to cook evenly enough, looks good. The dial controls are easy enough to use but the function pictures are a bit small for my rubbish eyesight. The timer is clear to hear when you're in the kitchen, not sure if I'd hear it from any other room though.

The shelves do feel a bit flimsy compared to my old cooker, there's a bounce to them and they move backwards and forwards far too easily when you try to remove something from the oven. There's also a "lip" to the edge of the shelf which makes it a bit fiddly to grab hold of the oven tray/dish to remove from the oven, while trying to not pull the shelf with it.

I also didn't realise how narrow the cavities are are compared to my old oven, all the good size baking sheets I had for makimg cookies etc will have to be replaced with smaller ones, which means more cooking time as will have to cook in smaller batches.

Planning on cooking a roast chicken sometime soon, will see how that goes. My husband has had the bright idea to do Christmas dinner this year for my whole family, I think I might have got out of that one by saying the oven doesn't look big enough to cook a turkey!"
