"Purchased to replace an older curve microwave which finally gave up the ghost a few weeks ago. The shape of these is really clever as they really do take up so much less than a conventional microwave when pushed into a corner but it is important to add these are not overly powerful and nor are they overly large or high so these definitely have their limits.
Without doubt this new machine isn't a patch on my old curve for the following reasons...
1) build quality seems poor and the machine seems flimsier and noisier too;
2) these aren't powerful microwaves which I accept but this one seems even less powerful than my old machine so heating baked beans for example takes an extra 30seconds;
3) the buttons are fiddly and I particularly find you have to be careful to put your finger squarely on the start button or it will not work; and
4) the display is not as clear.
Having said all of the above, with space at a premium I am happy enough although I have a strong suspicion this will not last for more than a year or two, unlike my old curve which was much better quality all round."
"nice little microwave smaller wattage than previous one but just need to cook things longer. Used to stack bowls but this one does't seem as high from turntable to roof so is quite tight need to use shallow bowls. Wanted to mount on wall to free up bench space but couldn't find brackets. Don't think it will look good for long as coating is coming off already on + button "
