Excellent fridge freezer

"This is a great appliance, it has a huge capacity and we love the extra features such as the double door, really handy for just grabbing a bottle of milk. "

Just what we wanted

"Exactly as expected - well design and built, quiet, great space and features. Only small niggles - i have yet to put crushed ice in the glass without getting some on the floor no matter how close I hold the glass!. Also connecting the water involved searching for directions on google as could not make sense of the instructions. Once in though, no regrets at all about the purchase"

Just love it

"Well worth the money, plenty of room and it doesn't have handles the delivery men said the ones with handles doesn't fit through many doors so they have to take the fridge frezer doors off. As this one fits through the doors on problem. "

Amazing American Fridge Freezer

"I've never had a fridge freezer that can do so many things, even the plumbed in ice machine has 3 options - Crushed Ice, Ice and water. The fresher for longer feature is useful too as it means i'm not throwing away food after a few days. The extra door is super handy and i'm now not sure if I ever one a 2 door fridge again! This helps keeps the temperature in the fridge cool and again keeps food fresher.

There's a lot of space in this fridge freezer as you can see in the video which is perfect for me as we are only a family of 3 but we cook alot of big meals on a regular basis when other family members come round.

I really like the look of the appliance too, it's very sleek and modern. "

House husbands review of an LG Fridge Freezer

"The model we have is stainless steel with gloss black trim, and it is very attractive. The LED lights in the fridge and freezer run almost from top to bottom so it is very bright inside.

The fridge has four good sized glass shelves, a fruit and veg chiller box and a salad 'crisper' box, which so far really does seem to keep salad crisper for longer than just a standard drawer. The door has two large shelves for bottles etc and three smaller ones. The shelves in the top half of the door are also accessible via a smaller door in the main door, which means you can get at regularly used things without having to open the large door and letting all the cool, air escape. This is a great feature, and very useful on a hot day when glasses need to be topped up regularly with nicely chilled Prosecco! There is no sign of condensation or moisture on anything inside the fridge when you open the door, so there is no risk of soggy packaging. There is a bottle rack available as an optional extra - I do think they could have thrown this in as standard for the price, but there is enough room for several bottles in the door shelves.

The freezer section is not the biggest, but does have four good sized shelves, and two meat and fish freezer drawers at the bottom. It can be a bit difficult to stack things like bagged frozen veggies on the shelves and a couple more drawers would have been useful, but the shelves do make it easier to see what you have got rather than having to open drawers and rummage through them. There are also a couple of smaller shelves in the door which are ideal of ice creams and lollies - conveniently located lower down for junior members of the family! There is also an 'Express Freeze' function to get things frozen quickly when you have loaded the weekly shop in.

Some of the freezer section space is taken up by the ice maker and water chiller section in the freezer door, and this feature is a big plus for us as we now have chilled water and ice cubes or crushed ice on demand pretty much all the time (the ice maker produces about 36 cubes of ice a day), so we were happy to trade off some of the freezer space for this. Also the ice maker section can be removed, and there is a spare shelf supplied that you can put in its place if you need a little more storage space.

This model is a 'plumbed in' version, which means it needs to be connected to your household water supply for the water chiller and ice maker to work. Ours came supplied with a 6.5 meter length of narrow bore plastic pipe, with 'push fit' connections for the in - line water filter, the appliance connection, and the standard water supply connector. If you have an appliance outlet (the type used to connect a dishwasher or washing machine) fairly close to where you want to install the fridge freezer then connection should be fairly straightforward. We didn't have an existing outlet near ours, but I bought a self tapping outlet connector from a high street supplier for about £5, and was easily able to tap into an existing 15mm water pipe in an adjacent room and run the pipe through a small hole in the wall. All in all it took me about an hour and a half to install the whole thing, and I didn't need any special plumbing tools.

We are very pleased with this fridge freezer, the chilled water and ice dispenser more than make up for the not huge freezer space, and the 'door in a door' feature on the fridge means things stay fresher for longer, because all the cool air is not escaping every time we want a spot of milk for our brews! Plus it looks great."
