Love the cutlery tray we can get two days worth on it I’m nearly running out of cutlery before I put it on for a wash !
Seems so much bigger than our last dishwasher and it’s being used every other day usually instead of everyday !
So quiet compared to our last one

"We had a previous model of this dishwasher for several years and were very happy with it until it developed a fault that was uneconomic to fix. Went for the SMS46M as it was fundamentally the same but with the added 'bonus' of the upper cutlery tray and room for one extra setting. The extra setting comes from the fact there's no basket as obviously it's no bigger inside.
As far as ease of operation goes and results I can't fault it. There are the usual manufacturer's claims about efficiency, quiet operation and effectiveness. In my opinion these hold up. However, the specs indicate it's fundamentally the same as our previous machine which was over 6 years old so no radical improvements.
The big disappointment (hence 4 stars) was the cutlery tray. A good idea in theory but as the machine can't be any bigger to accommodate it you are losing quite a bit of room at the top. In our case this meant that the taller glasses and breakfast bowls we used to but in the top no longer fit unless we drop the tray down. Obviously dropping the top tray then means large plates won't fit in the bottom. In essence the capacity is now less than before rather than more. The crunch (quite literally) came when we slid in the cutlery tray and decapitated two glasses ??. Fortunately we kept the cutlery basket from the old one and have removed the cutlery tray (annoying as paid extra for the 'feature').
In summary, a very good machine but would recommend checking out the slightly cheaper version with the normal basket rather that the top cutlery tray."

"Was a replacement for old broken down machine of same spec. Cleans well even when I cram lots in it. The speed setting is really helpful in a busy household of 5 who don't like to reuse their water cups when having a second glass!"

"Simple, clean appearance. Easy to operate, we are trialling the various programmes. The quick wash is great for a full load after times like a group of people having tea and cake, not a full roast dinner! Other programmes have managed that well. Great finish. Love the top cutlery tray which leaves so much more space on the lower rack. Initially concerned that deciding on water hardness to set the salt level would be a faff but very straightforward - internet searched water hardness (very high here!) Followed instructions to set up on machine - all good and simple to do! Fantastically quiet operating, couldn't be sure it was actually working from the sound, but it was. Very happy with this purchase. It lives up to the product description well."
