Great fast programme

"We love this Smeg dishwasher. It has 12 place settings, which is perfect for a family of four. When we use it for the B&B breakfasts, it is full in one load. The designers have really thought out the internal layout, and loading the dishwasher is easy to do. I love that there is a specific place for teaspoons and knives.

The fast programme cleans quickly and efficiently in 27 minutes, which is incredibly fast. The glasses are sparkly when they come out and it really does clean very well.

The dishwasher looks really good, and it fits in well in our kitchen.

It doesn't use a lot of water, and there's also a half programme if you don't quite have a full load, which uses even less water. I'm really impressed with this machine. It's only flaw is that it is a bit noisy, but honestly nothing too bad."

A Classic Smeg dishwasher, it does what it's supposed to

"This is a great general dishwasher, if you're looking for one with all the bells and whistles then this probably isn't for you, but if you are looking for a dishwasher that will wash your dishes over and over again properly without messing around then i highly recommend this model.

The top shelf height is a bit taller than usual which is a big plus as this allows you to fit in more wine glasses and pint glasses (obviously a necessity)

I love the dual mouvement sprayer on the bottom, although i'm not sure if it's any more effective than the standard version it still looks cool.

One of the only negatives is the loud sound of the door latch and a slightly louder wash than i'm used to.

Apart from that lot, it has everything you'd expect, eco wash, short wash, seperate level wash and delayed timer are amongst some of them.

To recap, it's a solid great dishwasher that looks like it'll still be running smoothly long after most others would."

SMEG DF612AEW Dishwasher review

"

The Smeg DF612AEW is most definitely an impressive machine. It has a very modern square design and would most probably fit into any kitchen. I did find the door slightly disappointing though as it does flex when you open and shut it and it makes quite a loud noise upon closing. I also noticed that in the corner of the door it was slightly bent inwards. But it’s not so much how it looks that’s so unusual, but how it performs.

It has a twelve place setting capacity, which is probably enough for couples, small family or normal average sized family. The energy efficiency of the Smeg DF612AEW is A+, so it won’t use up lots of energy whilst it’s running and it should mean your electricity bills stay fairly small.

You can wash the dishes inside the Smeg DF612AEW on ten different programmes. There’s a Normal programme for bog-standard cleaning. The Soak programme is good if you have dishes with dried on food that is difficult to remove. The Glass programme won’t be rough on any delicate glassware. The Eco programme will be even more eco-friendly than the Smeg DF612AEW already is, and the Ultra clean programme is useful for those really, really hard to get at stains. Then you move onto the quick time programmes. We start off with the rapid 27', this particular cycle is only 27 minutes long, which is fantastic if you're in a rush. The other quick time programmes you can use are a delicate quick for your glass wear etc, an Eco quick, a normal quick and a Strong and fast, which is basically a ultra clean wash but a bit faster and without a hot pre wash.

The internal layout is quite spacious with really well thought out features I.e. the cutlery tray that you pull out on the top basket. In some cases, but not all for example, it‘s big enough to get large plates and trays up to 30cm in diameter in the Smeg DF612AEW, but in using certain trays in the top it can be tricky to get cups and beakers in. One of the handy details on the Smeg DF612AEW is that the upper basket can be adjusted to create more height on the bottom basket. Loading is quite easily done, but I did find the top knife holder fiddly as sometimes the knives didn't want to stay put. Apart from those very slight issues the Smeg DF612AEW is a breeze to load.

Overall I do like the Smeg DF612AEW dishwasher with all its programmes and well thought out design. It is one of the more quieter dishwashers I've come across, which is handy in an already busy kitchen. The quality of the wash cycles are of a high standard, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the rapid 27' as it cleaned very well. The dishwasher itself is of a good standard quality, even if the door lets it down ever so slightly. The buttons on the front that work the programmes are really easy to use, but the start button takes a little getting used to as it requires you to hold it down for a few seconds till you hear the beep. Great allround dishwasher

"This dishwasher was easy to get along with as I've never had one before and I'm not one for reading instructions. Pretty self explanatory. The display shows you step by step the process it's carrying out and it does it's job effortlessly. I've used it about 4 times now and only once has it left 1 knife unclean. I would rate this as a 9 out of 10 for that.

Overall very pleased with this product "
