"As with all Smeg appliances it was what I expected. The look is sleek, and tidy with no sticking out buttons. The inside is as good, with both top and bottom racks having a versatility of top-end dishwashers (knife rack and spoon holders, flexible cutlery basket that fits over the plate racks or in its own space, as well as folding racks).
it is very quiet to run and the extra functions such as timer delay, half load can be used with the ECO setting.
The ONLY down side is the door shut is a loud click. I can live with this as the rest is an excellent appliance."

"Washes dishes very well! Eco wash also surprisingly good! No noisier than I would expect.
Just a shame about the installation! The 2 installers were unable to complete the job and left me needing to rely on someone else to make larger holes to fit newer bulkier fittings with built-in filtration. Not something I was expecting or aware of as had a dishwasher there beforehand. Just technology moving on but AO should inform customers to try to ascertain whether or not this will affect them!
Warranty info only mentions 1 yr not 5yrs? But AO told me over phone it is definitely 5 yrs?"

"I can only give the machine a one star as it is yet to make it through to the end of the cleaning program. The machine has completed the wash cycle and is stuck at the pumping out stage. The fault on the display is not shown in the instructions and now I have to go through the rigmarole of calling out an engineer and booking unpaid leave from work in hope it can be fixed.
I had a BOSCH before that only lasted 4 years before the motherboard packed up and was going to cost £150 to replace a new dishwasher was a no-brainer. I had hoped for a lot more from this brand. Bearing in mind the BOSCH was a cheaper unit the build quality was far better. Don't second guess yourself. Go with a BOSCH.
Any standard sized dinner plate placed in the lower rack will prevent the spray bar going round. Expect to have to adjust the level. Good luck the instruction are awful and this is coming from someone who actually take the time to read the instructions.
The only plus I can see so far is that I get to look inside the unit and see just how its made so at least i have some kind of idea whats happened when it goes wrong next time. If my experience so far is anything to go by there is going to be a next time.
The only reason I bought this dishwasher was the 5 year warranty. Now I own it, there is no reference to the 5 year warranty on any of the SMEG paperwork (1 year manufacturer on the warrant document) or any of the conformation emails from AO. I have a registration conformation from SMEG and the 5 year warranty is not mentioned on this either.
I cant believe I'm stuck with this piece of garbage for what could be the next 5 years.
Something positive to finish with. The AO.com delivery team were really friendly and had the dishwasher delivered to me before 07.30 on a Sunday but dont let that be reason to buy this dishwasher.
You have been warned. "

"The dishwasher has many outstanding features which you would not normally find on one for this price, the smallest of details of where to position the teaspoons have been well thought out a minor detail but makes loading it much easier "
