"What do I like about my new AEG Double Oven ?
Let me start with the overall look of the oven. Very modern and attractive whilst simple in appearance. Don't be put off by the word simple, by this I mean no clumsy, bulky awful looking dials on the front of it.
When fitted the oven went perfectly into the space that our old double oven was removed from.
The glass doors on both the top and bottom oven are edged in silver with blackened glass inset. This leaves the main part of the glass clear. When cooking the light inside is bright and allows you to see very clearly what is cooking inside. I personally love this about the oven. I do a lot of baking and love to have that clear view of what is in the oven. It saves opening the door to look which could mean the difference in that perfect cake !!
I have baked cakes, biscuits, scones. Roasted meat, potatoes and cooked simple food items. This oven cooked perfectly and evenly all over. This was one of the things that most impressed me. If you are a baker then it's defiantly the oven for you.
It heats up quickly and is very quite whilst cooking. In fact you don't even know the oven is turned on.
All of the above also applies to the top oven / grill. The grill heating element is well set out and toast your bread evenly all over, no turning the bread around !! This is also handy to use as an oven if you only have a small amount to cook. It saves money heating up the main oven.
The timer on the the oven is very easy to set, not at all like other ovens I have used. The push of two buttons sets the timer. Simple and quick.
The dials that allow you to choose the oven settings push in and out. A slight push and the dial comes out allowing you to choose your temperature / setting. Another slight push returns it so it sits flush with the oven to give it the sleek look and making it much easier to clean.
This AEG oven is very easy to keep clean. The inside of both oven and grill has very smooth sides making it easy to keep clean and wipe up any spills.
The only negative I have to say about this oven comes down to my height (5.4"). I have the oven set midway into a full height unit. The bottom of the oven sits 30" off the ground. This means the top of the oven is too high for me to see the dial settings (see my video) when turning on the oven. I struggle seeing what temperature and oven setting I need. Hope this makes sense.
Overall for the price and overall appearance and performance of this oven I would definatly recommend it. I have the matching 5 burner AEG gas hob and the two together are perfect. "

"This oven is aesthetically pleasing with its good quality features and modern design.
There is an option of catering for small or large meals; it’s especially useful to have the oven working at two different temperatures when cooking a Sunday roast.
The timer settings are great; you can choose to have the oven switch off completely, or to carry on so you can add more food.
The trays have an anti slip edge, but I’ve found that because they dip it can be tricky to take food out when the oven is hot.
I also have to stand on my toes to view what the dials say, as our oven is placed quite high up in our kitchen (although this is a standard height for a double oven).
Pros: Good build quality, nice modern aesthetics, easy to use, good maximum temperature
Cons: No oven cleaning setting, trays can be fiddly."
