"It comes with four transit bolts, which are surrounded by spacers so you can't get an adjustable wrench on them. They were ridiculously tight, obviously done up with a rattle gun. Took an hour to get them off. You need a socket (not a ring spanner). The electric cable is less generous than the previous machine, and thus difficult to thread through to the socket.
Once installed it works fine and seems a quality product. Not sure about the range of programmes; I would have liked a couple of "idiot settings" that worked for most things! The different programmes had different temps and wildly different maximum loads, which no-one would remember without consulting the handbook.
I am sure this will become a much valued piece of equipment."

"I have to admit it is very quiet, I had to check few times if it is on as it was soooo quiet comparing to my old washer/dryer machine. I never had Hotpoint in the past however after reading the reviews I decided to go for this one. The set of functions and different choices of wash is perfect as to what I needed. The dryer is quiet too. I usually wash and dry in the evenings/late at night which is very pleasant when you can not hear it ? The door is wide which makes it easy to fill in or empty the machine. I have already tried whites stain wash and it came out prefect white – of course I added brilliant white detergent. However my old washing machine even with detergent could not remove the stains as this one does easily. I have this machine for around 2 weeks, uses nearly every second day including dryer and I can not fault this product.
I would recommend this washer /dryer to everyone who looks for the best programs on the market and quiet machine.
