"Not as silent as it purports, but still quieter than our old machine. Good at getting out stains and good at drying although a full cycle can take several hours but clothes are warm and toasty by the end. Quite happy with the purchase. "

"My first washer dryer, bought to replace a working-but-dreadful washer of a different make.
Pros: easy and intuitive to operate (once you've read the manual), with plenty of wash programmes and options. Decent capacity, incredibly quiet while running, and stable on spin.
Cons: I'd prefer if the door wasn't tinted, so it would be easier to see if a stray red sock had made its way into the wash. Also, the power cable is short enough that it made installation difficult - just another foot would have made all the difference!
Overall: nicely styled, solid machine that does its job easily and quietly. Really pleased with this purchase, wish I'd gone for it before."

"Easy to use. Clothes come out lovely and clean. Nearly dry without having to use the spin cycle.
Saves on electricity. Very satisfied customer. "

"When our old Hotpoint WDUD9640 finally gave in, we went the lazy route and just got a newer model of the same range.
Happy to say it has been a good choice as this FDD9640P improved on the older model in many ways.
the changes that stood out is that the washing/drying capacity is the same but the depth of the machine is less, thus it fits deeper under the kitchen surface, whilst the older model stuck out.
The washing modes has been tidied up and are now more in line with typical use scenarios.
The washing and drying cycles are much quieter compared to our older model by a noticeable difference.
Other than that the actual results of the wash has been the same, if not slightly quicker."
