"Bought this after researching for quite awhile. I had a gas hob for 9 years and although it was still pretty clean it had parts of it where the chrome had come off and a thermocouple had failed with parts not available anymore. Researched induction hobs and hovered over this one for a couple of months. Finally AO had a £20 off offer so I decided to go for it. Purchased and delivery was a week away, and then AO contacted me, said we have availability for the Sunday before do I want that free of charge. Well of course I did, so delivered after 3 days. Brilliant. The hob itself its amazing. Has lots of things you can do or set on it and best of all it just plugs in to a socket outlet as the plug and flex is already on this. Took the old hob out, and used the socket outlet that was used for the gas hob igniter to plug this in so no additional electrical work was required. Plug and play I guess lol. Cleaning it is easy but it is a glass top so if you have OCD like me and you don’t like streaks from a wet cloth get yourself a chamois leather to rub over after a wet cloth and it’s gleaming. To cook food on my gas hob was you turned it up food cooked usually at a high level because of a flame and well it was cooked food. With this each area for a pan has 9 settings and you can really cook food better this way and more controlled. I have to say my food is actually tasting better cooked but that might be because it’s a new thing. You do also need to buy full induction pans as the ones I had said induction but this hob has an induction test faculty. 0 = Not induction 1 = Induction but not full induction & 2 = Induction and will cook food correctly. My pans were a 1. My new pans are showing a 2 which means the induction now heats all the pan rather than 3/4’s of it. This feature is great for pans you already have and you need to test compatibility, so well done Bosch for this feature. All in all....... I absolutely love it. "

"I've been wanting an induction hob for ages and upgraded from an awful plate hob. Live this induction hob, controls are so easy to use and those can boil water faster than my kettle. Easy to use, better for the reducing the electric bill as no wated heat once switched off. Most of my pans were ok for induction so I haven't needed to replace my pans. Would definately recommend this hob. I did get an electrician to install. "
