Did try the chips mode using the 'Crusty plate' (not a good name). They were soggy and insipid even after extra cooking. "
"A great overall microwave. Food is nice and clear through the window. Microwave cooking times are spot on according to the wattage. Slim fry, and grill functions are great especially if you don't have room for or don't want to buy a separate air fryer. Controls may seem daunting at first glance but follow the instructions once on your first go cooking anything and you won't need to worry about it again. Build is nice and solid, inside is easy to clean. Some fan noise but not deafening. Manufacturer 3 Year guarantee for parts is a nice bonus. Can't think of any cons. "

To cook the chicken to fall off the bone takes 90 mins
in my gas oven.
It takes 30 mins using the hot blast facility & still falls off the bone.
