Fab cooker

"Great cooker, has a solidity about it which is comforting and it's design makes it suitable for both modern and traditional kitchens. Lots of oven space, you can use the grill as an oven too (although I haven't done this yet as the handle supplied doesn't fit).

The other two ovens have masses of space and they cook very efficiently and evenly. There is loads of space in the hob area - the hobs are nice and far apart so you can get large pans and even a casserole dish plus 4 pans going at the same time.

The hob surface, outer surface and ovens are easy to clean but the cast iron pan supports have a slightly rough surface so there's a bit of friction when cleaning them with a cloth/wipe, not a pleasant sensation (a bit like being licked by a cat). They are really heavy too - more so than my previous cooker, so there's not much chance of them getting near the sink for a good soak.

Having said the above though, on the whole I think it's a great cooker - it's so capacious you can cook loads of food in it, and it does it evenly and efficiently. It's pretty easy to use and it looks beautiful - both modern and traditional at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this range cooker to a friend.

Amazing cooker

"This is my review for a Stoves Belmont 900 DFT Duel Fuel Range cooker in cream.

Firstly, the size of the cooker is perfect as the width and height are 90cm and the depth is 60cm, which is a standard cupboards width, which fits perfectly into my kitchen.

The cooker has a smooth paint finish as the main colour is cream, the sides and top are black which is finished with chrome handles and dials.

On the hob it has 5 gas burners, which are a range of sizes. There is 1 large, 2 medium and 1 small, which are all easy to remove and clean. In the middle, there is a large hob which is great for a large wok which I have found extremely easy to use, a good size and my large wok sits perfectly in place and cooks evenly.

The cast iron supports come in 3 large sections and fit snuggly into the top of the cooker which means that they don't move whilst cooking. They're very easy to remove and clean. However, I have found that they're quite heavy and do mark the black paintwork on the top of the cooker quite easily.

The dials on the front of the cooker are very self explanatory to use. They are of a good size and are clearly marked which makes them easy to read and operate. The dials are also very easy to remove and clean. However, when you want to ignite the gas rings, you need to push the dial fully in for a second before you can ignite the burner. This confused me as my previous cooker didn't have this. This safety feature is great as you can not accidentally knock the dials and turn the gas on by mistake.

I love the simple display on the front of the cooker which has the time, a minute minder and you can set the oven to stop cooking at a certain time. It also has a lock function on the display if you have to set the timer to automatic cook mode, I found it great that you can set the alarm volume to 3 different levels depending on how loud you want it.

The grill/oven is a good size of 33 litres and comes with a solid grill pan and metal handle. I find it convenient this it has 4 levels available to use. If you use this as a grill, you can either set it to 1,2 or 3 levels of heat. I have found that it grills food evenly and I love the variable heat.

The main oven has a cooking capacity of 64 litres. It has 2 metal shelves which you can change height of. I love that the shelves can be pulled out 2/3rds of the way without falling out which makes taking food out of the oven much easier. I am really impressed with how evenly it cooks food and seems to be quicker than my old oven. I also love the large, clear viewing window on the front of the oven door which makes it easy to keep an eye on what you're cooking (e.g. baking cakes). With the oven being of a good size, it easily accommodates my large roasting and baking tins, so I haven't had to buy new bakeware. The main oven door seems to have a nice feel on the closing of the door and appears to have a good seal.

The second oven has a right hand sides door. I love the magnetic door catch which makes a nice smooth action and feels solid. It has 3 shelves which can be moved to different heights which I found handy when you need to use different sizes of bakeware. These shelves are also very easy to move around and clean. Again, it is of a very good size of 86 litres which is plenty of space.

The lights on the main oven and second oven turn on automatically and stay on when the ovens are turned on, and there is no option to turn them off. Also, the main oven and second oven have a defrost function which I have found very helpful too.

The only negative that I could find was the user manual. It seemed to cover 2 models of this cooker and it wasn't clear and self-explanatory of which features were on which cookers. So, I would recommend to just read through it carefully and go through it slowly.

I am really impressed how well this oven cooks and it's much quicker than my previous cooker. I totally love the design of the cooker, it has a touch of the farmhouse look but with a modern feel. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the quality, build quality and finish of the cooker.

I totally love everything this cooker has to offer and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone."
