"We used to own a cheap tumble dryer but we could only use it for things like towels, as it shrunk everything else. But you get what you pay for. The new AEG is brilliant. Just chuck it in and let it get on with the hard task of trying it and does a pretty good job of trying my shirts crease free! Well worth the expense on all counts and has freed up space in the house where racks had almost taken root!"

"Received the tumble dryer in question as per order confirmation.
Very happy with the dryer. Easy to set up and pretty much ready to go out of the box.
Have used the dryer for about three weeks or so now, mainly cotton clothing, towels and bed linen. The results have been fantastic. Very gentle on the clothing and even when fully dry extremely easy to iron.
Yes the dryer does take longer than we are used to but to be honest expected that with a heat pump. Hopefully the energy consumption will work itself out in the long run. To early to say right now.
But can definitely say that this dryer is very gentle on clothing, so the trade off with lengthier drying times is ecceptable.
Has a lot of programmes but have not yet used all of them, certainly not woollens, feather and down duvets and pillows. I'm sure they will be fine though going by what we have used of the dryer so far.
The wife is very happy with the results.
Very good looking dryer, love the reverse spin action, the light in the drum and very easy to clean the filter and drain the water.
Do have the option with this dryer to also connect to the sink waste, which we will look at doing sometime in the future.
When looking for a dryer decided to go with this one based on reviews (some reviews were complaining about the long drying times, but after doing the research found that most heat pumps do take longer, so not a big deal), specification, features and energy rating.
Was pricier than we wanted but the added 5 year warranty sealed the deal.
Would definitely recommend this dryer.
The only couple of negatives I would say at this stage is one, still very early days to give a complete picture and I guess time will tell in terms of longevity. Two the touch buttons for the controls a bit too sensitive

"We had previously had a Condensing tumble dryer, which was 12 years old.
Reason for choosing the AEG heat pump dryer was due to energy efficiency, design quality, ease of installation and reviews.
We love the way the clothes are dried and the fabric feels very soft and crease free. The various programs are very good and operating the drier is straight forward. The bed sheets do not tangle so there is no need to keep opening door and untangling. The internal blue light adds a nice ambience and the machine is very quiet.
I addition to the prorams, there are three levels of default dryness you can set. We found the middle setting best suited our preference, this is a really good option as people can be particular about drying quality.
Overall the AEG model we purchased was a bit more expensive than some of the other manufacturers but we are very pleased with our choice and highly recommend it.

"Firstly, after John Lewis messed me about for days and failed to deliver, AO came to my rescue. From order to installation was less than 12hrs, whilst with John Lewis it would have been two weeks!!! It was by far the best customer service for any purchase in 2018 and I was a reluctant first time buyer.
The product itself is exactly as advertised and although it looks good in the pictures, it’s even better in real life. The construction quality is outstanding, the controls are intuitive and it dryers everything from wet towels and bedding, to jeans perfectly!! Yes it’s more expensive than most, but my last one lasted well over 10 years, so it’s worth the money. "

"We took a long time looming at which tumble dryer would be best. So pleased we chose this one . It's easy to use, very quite, has loads of features and has a large water storage tray in case you can't connect to the drain. It's a great dryer and our clothes never seem to get damaged or look washed out from using it. Would buy AGE again."
