Superb machine

"This is the quietest tumble dryer I have ever owned, or seen in anyone else's home. It operates on a single dial, plus a couple of simple buttons, so nice and easy to use. Big port, so easy to get even big duvets in, and looks great. Standard size, so will fit into the gap from your old standard unit. Also, water tray is slightly shorter than average, but deeper so holds the same amount of water but is easier to handle."

Quality piece of kit

"Great looking piece of quality kit. Very easy to use and controls are straight forward with a good range of drying programmes to suit different laundry including bedding, duvet, easy iron, cottons and Eco cottons, sports, jeans synthetics, mixed and delicates. There is a delay start option and anti crease settings. I notice the sound levels are 65db and are low in my opinion and the drying results have been great. This has an 8 kg capacity and a large port hole which is great for large bulky items. Very impressed with this machine so far."

Good machine just a couple of tiny niggles.

"This is my review of my AEG 6000 series T6DBG821N 8kg Condenser tumble drier.

This drier has good standard dimensions of H85 x W60 x H60cm so should fit well into most kitchens, it’s got an energy rating of B, which isn’t the greatest but this machine saves money in other ways so compensates for the energy use elsewhere. It comes complete with a 2 year manufacturers warranty which shows confidence in the machine itself.

It boasts an 8kg capacity drum, this means a medium family can use this machine comfortably, my family consists of 2 adults and 2 small children and we don’t have any issues with it at all regarding some of the drum etc.

It has an easily read LCD screen, even when the sun is shining straight through the window it can clearly be seen without any trouble. On the screen you have an option of putting on the child lock, this can be a bit fiddly, but once you get used to it you can do it without too much bother. But there must be an easier way to do this?

The drier has adjustable feet so if your kitchen/utility room hasn’t got a level floor you can adjust these and it won’t vibrate or make those banging noises when it’s working.

You have several different options when drying, you can have iron dry, cupboard dry and finally extra dry dependent on your requirements. You will notice on the LCD screen when you change your options the timings will go up and down according to what settings you have, this is great as it can give you an estimate on the length of time it’ll take to dry your clothes, but with the Prosense technology it may detect the clothes are dry before this and shut the machine down early to save energy. Also you have delay start and anti crease to choose from if you wish.

As this is a condenser your water and moisture collects in the drawer in the top left, you need to empty this regularly to ensure the machine doesn’t stop automatically, due to the machine detecting it’s full. AEG could add a visual water level on this so you can see the level without having to remove the drawer. Most driers i have had have this system and it works well. Another thing you must remember to do is to empty the lint filter, best practice would be to clean it after every dry.

The only other problem we’ve had is small socks get stuck under the door above the lint filter this isn’t too much of a problem but just a little niggle.

Overall it’s a great machine, a few little niggles, but they aren’t massive problems at all. I’d recommend this machine to friends and family without doubt. "

Solid and Quiet Tumble Dryer

"This is a great looking and easy to use machine. The build quality is good and it feels solid and built to last.

AEG have their ProSense Technology which does help to cut down energy use and the drying times.

It copes well with the larger loads we produce (we have a toddler!) and is very quiet which allows us to use it either day or night without irritation. "
