"Easy & logical to use. I haven't had to clean it yet but the extra size will make it easier than previous. A good stainless steel spray cleaner works just fine. Cannot see a down side other than not being built in however with careful planning & layout of shelves/doors no one can tell it isn't fully fitted. Convection cooking needs a little longer than recommended but that happens with regular ovens too."

"Wow! What a great combi-microwave! It is stylish, looks modern. Given that it is quite large I thought it would be rather cumbersome and look out of place but it really doesn’t. It is powerful at 1000w and is of such a size that you can fit in large dishes and even roast a chicken in it! I haven’t used all of the functions on it just yet, but what I have used has been simple to work out and the pizza and veg have been perfect. You can also set the Microwave to cook an item that has just been defrosted.
It has a child lock feature which is a superb idea and not something I knew existed, you can also push in the dial to stop little fingers fiddling! The display is clear and vibrant. I thought it would be loud but it isn’t.
Buttons are easy to use, dial is easy to use (although a bit sensitive) and menu is easy to follow – great! This would be ideal for those who struggle with their dexterity.
I’m looking forward to using this to assist with my cooking when entertaining.
If you have a small kitchen, make sure you consider the dimensions of this appliance as it is larger than normal.
Overall I am very happy and would recommend this product."

Aesthetics
At first glance this microwave is very easy on the eye, with its silver finish and sleek edges, the large door allows you to clearly see the progress of your items that are being cooked. The positioning of the buttons and dial allow you to easily select and switch between all the programs thus allowing you to get the best results every time for each dish. The digital display is in a vibrant blue making it easy to monitor the time and the progression of your dish.

Safety First, the microwave rotary dial can be pushed in which lock the control of the microwave, this prevent anyone from adjusting the timing or inadvertently starting one, the stop/cancel button is still able to be used for obvious reason.
This microwave also has a grill and convection oven inbuilt, this gives you a plethora of options when preparing your meals at home. Coming with 10 preset programmes from frozen pizza all the way to a roast chicken, even re-warming the perfect cuppa, each programme is handily identified on the digital display by a relevant picture when selecting the desired programme.
This microwave allows to you reduce the power output, so that if you require items to cook at a slower speed or the timings given on products only show up to 850 watt microwave, you can then choose to reduce your power to meet the timings laid down on the product you wish to prepare.
The feature I use most with this microwave is the defrost programme, not only can you set this microwave to defrost by the weight of the product you wish to defrost you can also set the time you wish it to defrost manually, Sharp have also yet again improved this feature as once the defrosting cycle has completed the microwave can be set to commence cooking the product to a perfect standard, alerting you when it is done with a subtle tone.
Provided with the microwave is a grill/oven stand which can be flipped for varying heights depending on just how close you would like your product to the grill (equivalent to self position in an oven). This Grill/oven stand is safe to use in both microwave and oven modes which I found to be very handy.
You will also receive the users manual, my advise would to be make sure you fully read the manual so that you can fully grasp the capabilities of this product.
My one an only down point to this product is the sheer size of it, if you own a small kitchen and struggle for room at the best of times then you may wish to consider the dimensions of this product before purchasing it. If you do decide to buy this product then you can rest assured that this item will not only be a stunning addition to your kitchen and household but you will find your self experimenting with the programmes and preparing meals with ease in no time.

"This 1000 Watt combination microwave from Sharp boasts a generous 42 litre capacity and looks stylish in our kitchen. It comes with an easy to follow instruction manual and is fairly uncomplicated to use, considering all it's features.
The best feature is the child lock, which is simple enough for adults to engage and disengage, and keeps little fingers safe and free for potential harm.
The appliance is quite large, however this is to be expected from a combination microwave. Also, the brushed steel shows up finger marks when touched. This can be wiped clean easily but needs doing regularly to keep it mark free. The dial can be quite sensitive if turned too quickly but this is not a deal breaker.
There are only seven buttons and the one dial so it's really simple to use. There is also a one touch function which turns the microwave on for 30 seconds, which is handy.
All in all, I am very happy with this combination microwave.

"This is the Sharp R 982STM – a microwave oven with a grill and convection oven.
The look is good. Sleek and stylish. Plus, the nice smooth surface makes it easy to wipe down. I also like that it has a very large 42litre capacity which is handy when cooking for a crowd.
Then there is using it. First off, I was impressed with the fact that it has a child-lock. Then the controls. After reading through the instruction leaflet a couple of times, they are really straightforward. A sensible combination of buttons and a wheel for dialling times or temperatures.
I tried this out on porridge to start with. And that passed. Dead easy, and because it is powerful (1000W), it was at least 30 seconds faster than my old beast.
The oven – again easy and it works well. Useful when my main oven is being used – so far it has made some back-up roast potatoes while I was doing a slightly complex Sunday roast, with lots of people coming.
It also has a grill feature, and you can program in how it cooks things.
So – a significant upgrade from my straightforward old microwave, and one that I think, after trying it out, is very much worth it."
