"Arrived promptly with minimal excess packaging. Cooks evenly, quietly (even the beeps are quiet) and quickly (on the 1000w mode). The grill mode is excellent.
If I had to pick out any issues:
- the standard microwave mode defaults to 650w. Why would I want less than 1000 by default?
- it is easy to use, but you really have to read the manual to get to that point. It's got an instant 30 second cook, but there's not an obvious way to do that until you've read about it.
- the controls are (apart from the dial) all touchscreen, and not especially responsive. This is a niggle, but once you're used to it it's not an issue.
I'd definitely recommend it on balance — really well featured and looks the part too. "

"Bought to replace a 16yr old unit, the door catch of which had failed. New model had to be stainless steel, have a large turntable and of course have exactly the same dimensions as the old one. This Hotpoint fits the bill in every respect and performs perfectly. It may be slightly noisier but this could be due to the fact that it is in effect suspended in its cavity by the two fixing screws."
