"Bought this microwave 19 months ago as part of a complete appliance package for our new fitted kitchen. About 8 months ago (just out of warranty) it flashed a door error and would not start. 8 months later and it has got so bad we are going to have to replace it. Considering the price tag this is awful value for money. When I contacted Hotpoint about the faulty Fan oven that I bought at the same time and asked about the microwave I was told each appliance would take a £119 to have an engineer to repair. I will never buy hotpoint products again. Really poor quality."

"THe Hotpoint MD344 IXH is a nice looking piece of equipment. Some reviews said it was noisy but we haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Yes the controls are complex, but all multi function microwaves are the same , yes the instructions that come with it are scant, but just look on the Hotpoint web site and you can download a full instruction manual (that most people won't read!)
The unit is really "plug and use" and was installed in moments.
Good service and a very good price from AO completed the package.
If you are looking for a competitively priced Microwave then go for this one."

"we bought oven,microwave and hob for new kitchen,then added extractor fan,we were so looking forward to their arrival and were not disappointed, colour ,style really completed our modern kitchen units.Found myself staring at the kitchen everything went together as though it was planned. it was ,online."

"Bought to replace a Baumatic microwave after 6-7 years. Installed it without problem in my existing unit, plugging it in in the same socket. Took a little while to work out how to use it, but simple one button push for 30, 60,90, etc.. heating up. Lots of space compared with old product. Have used a couple of the Auto cook functions, needing to refer to the manual each time, but this is the same for any more complex product like this.
Seems to need the door to be opened and closed before it will let you proceed...I am sure there must be some safety reason for this.
Overall very satisfied. Just installing my Hotpoint double oven, which I hope will be just as good."
