"I wanted a flatbed microwave and wasn't fussed about it being a grill and oven too and this seemed to fit the bill. I don't miss the turntable (or the noise!) and it's easier to fit multiple things in now and the lack of a grill means I can get my tall mugs and glasses in more easily without spilling stuff. I haven't tried any of the recipes (I've only had it a week) but it's working well for general reheating, jacket spuds etc. - no cold spots and even cooking. If anything it seems to heat things quicker than my old one which was 850W. I'm getting used to the controls which are straight forward and the door is easy to open (my last one you had to yank hard) but closes with a disconcerting clang. I love the mute option for the noisy alerts - that's on by default now - and cleaning should be much easier with it's self cleaning function although I haven't made it messy yet. Once the light comes on inside it's easy to see what's cooking but I've noticed it steams up quickly which obscures the glass and it can get really wet inside afterwards and needs a quick wipe around. The only other niggle is the child lock that comes on automatically after it hasn't been used for a short while. As I leave the door open to let it dry and air after each use I need to close and open and close it again before I can use it next time to deactivate the child lock. It would be nice if there were a way to switch that off when it's not needed - maybe by a random set of key actions or a code to enter or something. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase."

"This is a large microwave, bigger than anticipated, but it is a great item for the price. Functions well, only issue is that you seem to only be able to select 15sec increments of time"
