"This is a good looking item with easily understood instructions. It is somewhat larger than our previous combination oven and indeed almost as big as our original 1980's model, but still sits comfortably on the kitchen work surface. The microwave element is efficient and easy to program, and while I have yet to fully test the convection oven I'm confident it will deliver on that front as well. The internal space is much greater than I've had before and the lack of a turntable has the unexpected bonus of massively reducing noise - the only problem now is that the alert for 'finished' is too low for me to hear unless I'm already in the kitchen! All in all although not the cheapest on the market, I feel this gives lots of bang for my bucks."

It's absolutely fine in every way except that the control symbols are almost illegible, in daylight or normal kitchen lighting, to people like me with failing sight because they are within a semi- opaque reflective glass like material. However when I shine a direct light (such as a torch) on them they stand out so well that I can almost read them without my glasses. I have a similar problem with my Phillips steam iron – the water level is almost invisible through the similar opaque material.

"I am very impressed with this item. Purchased it to upgrade from my old Panasonic oven which had given many years of faultless service. Particularly like the Steam setting which is perfect for fish and delicately cooked veg. I look forward to trying the varied programmes i.e. "Panacrunch" etc. Design is well thought out, it is pleasing and unobtrusive to the eye, very quiet in use."

"This is a very good machine, would have been five stars. BUT the pips when it is done are too quiet, especially if you are hard of hearing. The second thing (and this is not the only machine like this) It is too dark inside when working. How you are supposed to keep an eye on browning, and stop sauces boiling over,as the book says, if you can't see!!
Please manufacturers, get this right and it would be perfect."
