"I am amazed at the good reviews this Hob has got, first off one of the burners was faulty, ok one of those things and to be fair Hotpoint were prepared to come and fix it, my major gripe was how easily it marked, even before using it and just wiping it there was like a water mark effect to it, there is no doubt it’s made from low quality stainless steel, Hotpoint tried to sell me a cleaning kit to use?What before I’ve even had a pan on the hob? I don’t think so! Showed her hob next to S/steel Franke sink and the difference was soon clear. Hob looks nice but I honestly would urge you not to buy. The Lamona (Howdens make) hob I took out after 10 years Looked better, I’ve just purchased another and there’s no comparison, far superior steel and looks new still as it should."
"Really surprised at all the 5* reviews, not my experience at all, imposible to keep clean I have tried everything going to get marks off hob, but never looks clean also knobs have to be held down for up to 15 seconds at times to light it and if all hobs are lit, then one of them always goes out. surely I can't be the only person having these problems?? going to try to return it as I am very disappointed with hob. wished I looked at other site reviews before I purchased it. "

"Thie original gas hob had to be replaced after 10 years. The new Hotpoint gas hob upgrade is an excellent replacement, solid quality and good value for money. Backed up by AOs excellent service."

"The hot point hob has added a touch of class to my kitchen. The stylish solid cast iron pan rests and stainless steel finish looks good and is very easy to clean. Positioning the controls at the front not only makes it much safer but adds an air of sophistication. Best hob I’ve used!"
