Beko DCR93161W Condenser Dryer Review

"This is a really lovely, large machine that is so easy to use and has loads of useful programmes. As a family of 5 (two adults and three children aged 5 and under) we have a huge amount of laundry to be done and the 9kg drum in this machine is perfect. For such a big drum size the machine fits nicely in the space under our stairs and it looks great. It runs smoothly and the noise isn't a problem at all. There's a large selection of programmes to choose from depending on what you're drying: various cottons and synthetics settings, jeans, sports items, baby clothes and delicates as well as 10, 20, 40 and 60 minute cycles. The iron dry option is really useful, drying your washing just enough to make it easy to iron. The freshen up setting is another great function that gives any laundry that's been sitting in the machine for a while a wee tumble with warm air to get any unpleasant smells out and refresh it. You can delay the machine from running for up to 24 hours with the "Ending In" button on the digital display panel, and next to this button is the mute option, to silence the machine if needed. There are three features in this machine that I really love. First is the light that comes on when the door is opened. It allows you to see right inside the drum which is really helpful, especially as ours is under the stairs where it can be a bit dark at times. Second, is the child lock option. By pressing the mute and "Ending In" buttons together for three seconds this is activated and prevents anyone changing the programme mid-cycle or fiddling about with the machine. We have a two year old who loves button pressing so this is brilliant. However, it can be overridden by pressing the on/off button to turn the machine off then on again. Once it has been turned on again the child lock is no longer active, so something to keep in mind if you have wee ones running about! My third and most favourite feature is the dampness sensor inside the machine. This assesses the levels of moisture in your washing as it's drying and when it senses the washing is dry it stops the cycle, thus saving you electricity. We had a dryer once before that would just continue running until we stopped it ourselves so in comparison this is great. Emptying the water tank is simple and easy, it just slides out, and at the bottom of the machine the condenser is really straightforward to remove and clean. The lint filter needs cleaned out after every use and is effortless to open and remove all the fluff then slot back in again. It's the perfect machine for a large family and I would highly recommend it to anyone!"

Beko DCR93161W Condenser Dryer Review

"This is a review for a Beko DCR 93161 W Condenser Dryer in White.

First, I'd like to start with the size. It measures 60cm so it's a standard size and will fit into a standard kitchen unit space. It also has a large drum, which can hold up-to a 9 kg load which I have found so much better than my previous smaller dryers, and it much more practical for a larger family. I found it dries the loads quickly and efficiently and the clothes are thoroughly dried through. I'm really impressed with how quiet it is, however I've noticed that is does give off lot of hot air. But, it seems to be a dry heat so it's not really a major problem. The machine is also classed as a B rated energy efficient dryer.

The turn dial and control panel is so simple to use. The turn dial has all the different functions and cycles depending on your load. For example, a jeans cycles, a delicates cycle and all different types of cotton cycles to suit your needs. You can active a child lock function if you please so none of you setting can be changed mid-cycle. This can be done simply by holding two buttons on the control panel at the same time for 3 seconds, and the same to deactivate it. You can also have a warning sound to tell you when the the load is dry, which I found quite helpful as you don't have to keep checking it, you can just listen. But, you can mute the machine on the control panel so it wont make any noise at all. Finally, on the control panel you can set a delay for you load to be dried. For example, you can set the machine to start in an hours time.

The dryer is a sensor dryer, so if the load if dry before the finishing time it will finish the cycle earlier which is a great energy saver.

It has a large water collector container at the top left of the machine which I have found really easy to remove and empty. The dryer has a really large door which opens all the way which makes it easier to load and unload clothes. There is also a light inside of the drum which I absolutely love. It will come on when you are loading and unloading clothes which I found a great help as most dryer drums are really dark and hard to see into. And this means no more lost socks!

The lint filter is ,again, really easy to remove, clean and slot back into place. It is at the opening of the drum and is super easy to access. The kick plate is effortless to remove and to gain access to the condenser unit at the bottom on the dryer.

Overall, I love the appearance of the machine and it would fit into any kitchen. I'd also like to say that I would not hesitate to recommend this dryer and would rate it 9/10.
