"I was having a kitchen refit and a American fridge freezer was my number one requirements, I've wanted one for a long time, after a lot of searching, reading reviews I chose this one, my other requirement was I couldn't have a front handle as where it was being placed (very close to the kitchen door), the other requirement was space, I needed a fridge freezer that holds enough space, this holds 32 bags of food shopping, I wanted a plumbed in one and with a lot of them this is inside the freezer which means a shelf is lost, this doesn't, added bonus as your compromised then, this holds a lot of food, more than you think, I think more could be housed in the door of the freezer side but due to the ice bucket this can't be helped, I thought this was never going to hold everything in the freezer, I had a normal fridge freezer and a second freezer before, it did store everything in it, I was surprised and you can see everything on each shelf, this is fantastic because it's not hidden in draws which like me I forget what's in there, the fridge side is amazing, there is plenty of room and can stack up your food in there with no problems with not having room
The dispenser is great and comes out filtered and having crushed ice or ice cubes is great, the only negative when dispensed they come out in such a force they end up on your kitchen floor but my dog doesn't have a problem clearing them up!!!
Also it came with a added shelf which I have no idea where it's suppose to go, I've read the instructions and I have no clue, I'm stumped!! So this will go in the tat cupboard never to come out again!!
If your doing what I did a few months ago I would seriously consider this, it was this one or the Samsung but this one won me over, it definitely was much better than the ones I was researching

"Had this unit for 6 months generally ok but the ice dispenser always seems to block up, so you have to remove the ice holder and physically have to remove the ice by hand. Not as good as the old samsung this replaced unfortunately. Could not recommend due to this " fault"."

"After searching for several months for a suitable American Fridge Freezer, we chose this one for a variety of reasons.
AO has a fantastic website and it is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
The freezer itself is impressive. It is a very attractive freezer (as much as a freezer can be)! The storage is excellent, benefitting from a bigger freezer space than most models, due to the ice cube maker being in the door. You will notice that a lot of rival freezers have it in the compartment itself, taking up vital space. Noise level is fine, and you are able to turn off the ice cube maker in an evening if you prefer.
The internal light is excellent, as is the storage in the doors. If anything, it would be nice if the side panels of the fridge freezer were the same colour and style as the fronts. From our short time of ownership, I would definitely recommend this fridge as the best in it's class for the price range. "

"I am, like many others, a massive fan of this style of fridge freezer. The space you get and the amount of food/groceries you can fit inside is amazing!! One of the many things that I love about the fridge freezer is the built in water and ice machine. My children are both still small and not able to help themselves to water yet, so this is ideal, this can come with problems as well because then they might mess about, but not with LG as they've thought about that already.... CHILD LOCK!!! This is brilliant, well done LG! The kids can help themselves and when the excitement turns into messing about, on goes the child lock!!! The freezer section of the appliance, I expected to be smaller than ones without the plumping, however it's not. This model has a larger depth than others so you don't loose any freezer capacity (or In other words when you do your monthly/weekly shop you can still fit everything in) There are additional shelves in the door which is great for the things that are used most, or even opened things and also the 2 drawers at the bottom for meat. The fridge section is fantastic! The 2 drawers which are labelled fresh fruit and veg, however you can see from mine that we use one as our chocolate drawer! They are both easy opening. Shelves, can be adjusted if needed, but are spaced quite evenly through the fridge. There are deep shelves in the door, for all condiments or wherever you want really. Overall I am extremely impressed, not only does it look amazing but overall the product performs how a family wants it to do. I haven't got any negatives to say about it all, just positive and a massive well done to LG. "
