"If you're thinking of replacing an average sized combi with this Sharp, measure up first, it's big. But what you get is pretty much a wall oven size combi with room for two shelves and the ability to cook twice as much using it as a convection oven.
There are two versions around; one has a clock and comes with two wire rack oven shelves and a baking tray, the one we got from AO.com has no clock and two baking trays that serve as oven shelves.
Microwave cooking is very even and it also does an excellent job of defrosting. The convection oven can cook two shelves worth of food - roast on one level, potatoes on another - very evenly if you follow the instructions and rotate the trays 180 degrees halfway through cooking. It also does a great job on oven fish and chips but needs slighter longer time and higher temperature than the package instructions recommend.
Despite the double size, the convection oven heats up in about 5 minutes, way quicker than the Panasonic it replaced.
Like any new oven, it takes trial and error to adjust timing and heat levels for best results but I am delighted with this oven so far. Just ensure you have enough room for it."
"I got this microwave to replace an old combination oven as I like that feature. I have to say this is a great microwave it is on the large size but that's usual for a combination oven as you need the capacity for large joints of meat etc. It does sit nicely on the worktop and looks very sleek with all the brushed steel look. It has a nice and sturdy door with a nice big handle and when opening and closing it is not clunky and noisy like my previous one. The interior light is nice and bright when cooking so you can see inside.
It is very quick to heat food up and also defrost, it has a 900 watt power and various settings, rather than saying high, medium high, low, medium defrost and low defrost it shows this as percentages which can take a bit of adjusting to. Overall I find it a great microwave and the shelves are a great idea rather than just using the racks with the convection oven. Also having 2 shelves means you can cook more than one item at a time.
The best feature I have found on it is the Energy Save Mode as it means you don't have to keep switching it off at the mains. However, if like me you put things in and set the timer but don't use it immediately (veg for a roast etc) you will need to reopen the door and reset the time if you haven't pressed start within the 3 minute cut off for the energy save mode, not a big issue but one I have to adjust to.
My favourite feature is the auto defrost as it means you can just weigh your item and it calculates how long it will take and you don't have to guess which defrost to use!
I would recommend this microwave combination oven if you have space for it much better than just a basic microwave."

"Fantastic design and looks great! It's a very big oven (40 litre capacity), so check you have the room before buying as it does need a 13cm overhead clearance. The two roasting tins are excellent quality and very versatile, allowing you to cook multiple items at the same time. The auto cook food catagories are brilliant and make cooking so much more easier. I find this combi quicker and easier to clean than using my main oven and hob! The operation manual has a fabulous cook book section in the back which is full of lots of brilliant recipes. I would highly recommend! "

"I love the microwave and how easy it is to use, The functions are eextremely easy to operate too. So ease of use is a huge plus, THe size of the oven is much bigger than an average microwave oven, This microwave amazed me with how it grills and also is a conventional oven. The preheat function of the oven is easy to use and very fast to preheat the oven, making it more appealing to use than your original oven. The only gripe I have with the sharp microwave is, once you have used the grill or oven function is does take a few minutes to cool the unit down before you can use another function such as drfrost or Microwave, but overall I love it, "
