"We chose this oven to replace a similar Siemens oven that failed during lockdown. The delivery from AO was excellent, however on unpacking the oven it was apparent that Siemens had changed the connection socket. Slight inconvenience we thought, replace the old cable with the new one. NO! The new cable is about a foot shorter than the old one and doesn’t allow us to reach from the back of the oven to the wall connection!ordered a longer cable a week ago, still not been dispatched so can’t actually tell you what this oven is like. Thank goodness for good weather and a bbq (and microwave)!"

"This was a replacement for the eight-year-old model of the same, or very similar, oven. The new one is more complicated, as seems to be the case with most appliances and I wonder if the added complication is necessary or desirable. The change of styling means it no longer matches the warming drawer, a minor detail. My husband had some trouble installing the oven because the electric cable provided was too short and he had to re-use the old one. Otherwise it was a straightforward replacement. So far it has performed well, oven and grill both do what they are supposed to. I would have given it 5 stars but the grill pan insert is not included, available separately and not cheap, and after spending quite a lot of money on the oven I was a bit annoyed to see that Siemens offer the cook-book but only if you pay extra for it. The old oven shelves slid directly into grooves in the side walls but the new one has a chrome rack on each side for the shelves to slide into. It looks less neat and there is more chrome to keep clean. If the oven performs as well as its predecessor, which seems to be the case, I will be satisfied, but I hope it lasts longer than the old one. It is worth paying a little extra for the pyrolitic cleaning option and having had it I would not be without it now."

"I bought the IQ-700 because it was to replace an earlier version. The Siemens ovens are fantastic (I also own their microwave oven). The build quality is superb and the different cooking options they offer cater for just about anything you could wish to cook. This model....like the previous one..... has the "self clean" facility that really does work.
Although I have not yet used this oven extensively it would appear the new 4D is really an improvement on the 3D version. (I have recently cooked several puff pastry items and they have cooked perfectly with no "burnt edges or sides" due to uneven heating. Personally I would not buy any other brand."
