great looking cooker

"A great cooker that overall I'm very happy with. takes a little getting used to the digital controls. hob heats up very very quickly, so adjustment is needed to avoid burning. hob stays hotter for longer than I'd hoped, but the other safety features are worth it."

Good all round oven

"It does what it says on the tin. Good even cooking in the main oven. Only slight thing is the job control buttons. I'd prefer proper knobs to touch sensitive digital ones."

Super looking cooker.

"This cooker in the black is super looking, easy to control, even for those with difficulty using hands, as controllable as gas. Smooth hob means no chance of pots toppling over. Easy to clean makes it a bonus. Smiles all round."

Awful... just terrible

"This is an awful, poorly made cooker. I am mystified that anyone might recommend this product. It would be hard to find a worse cooker and at this price point it is nothing short of a scandal.

Firstly, the induction hob is terrible. For example if you have a pan that you need to turn off immediately, you have to select the ring you want to turn off, then hold your finger on the button to lower the temperature. If it was set to 9 then this means holding your finger on this button for about 9 seconds. Imagine the pan is spitting hot fat or boiling water and you have to leave your hand there for 9 seconds to turn it off. The alternative is to switch off the entire hob, all 4 rings, and then go through the achingly slow process of turning all the rings you need back on again.

Secondly the hob has a raised metal lip all the way around that traps dirt and makes cleaning much more difficult than need be. In fact over even a short period of time I have begun to wonder how I can remove this ugly metal lip to facilitate proper cleaning underneath.

At the front of the hob is a dirt-trapping trench with a silicon rubber strip that has a foil lip where it attaches to the cooker. This silicon rubber strip is already bulging out to show the foil, which should be concealed, after less than 5 months of light use and careful care. You may wonder why there is something as cheap as foil and rubber on the front of the cooker. Presumably to save money during its shabby construction.

Thirdly the controls both for the hob and the two ovens are made as cheaply as possible. The hob controls are hopeless as I mentioned already, slow to operate, infuriatingly dangerous when rapid control is essential and need a perfectly placed fingertip to get them to respond. I hate this interface. The oven controls are cheap plastic buttons and the ovens so slow to heat up that I only used them twice before buying a counter-top oven that works properly and heats up quickly.

The induction hob is utterly hopeless. If you are trying to make scrambled eggs for example you either have the option to burn them to a crisp, or take 20 minutes to cook them at a snail's pace. There appears to be nothing in between, and yes I have patiently experimented with every possible heat-setting. You can hear the hob turning on and off again with a worryingly loud buzzing sound as the heat is supplied in increments of a few seconds at a time, turning on and off, on and off. All of the pans I have which are marked as induction suitable, and work on my other hob without any issue, have all failed at one time or other to work on this New World turd of a cooker. The hob refuses to recognise the pan and nothing can be done to make it work. Wiping the base, emptying and refilling the pan, turning the cooker on and off again... nothing works. It's just a useless hob. Then the next day the hob recognises the same pan again without a hitch.

The cooker can't be switched off when not in use because when switched on again the clock has to be set before the cooker can be used. There appears to be a cut-off built in to prevent the cooker operating if the clock hasn't been set.

I have subsequently bought a counter-top induction hob as well as a counter-top oven so I no longer need to use this awful, poorly designed, cheaply executed piece of tat. I detest this cooker and bitterly regret my decision to buy one. I received it on 22/12/2017 and will take it to the recycling centre for disposal this summer. I'm writing this review on 8/5/2018 which shows just how much I loathe this cooker.

Please DO NOT buy this cooker. Look for something German or Korean perhaps but don't buy this. It is far too expensive to justify the appallingly cheap construction, terrible controls and useless operation. "
