"Once unpacked this Beko fridge freezer looks very smart, a shiny black with softly curved edges. But would the smart appearance be matched by a smart performance?
Firstly, the instruction manual is brief, clear and very easy to use. A great start. Installation is made easy by a quick step guide and also the fact that, despite having a cold water function, the fridge does not need to be connected to a mains water supply.
Next step, the settings. The control panel is easily accessed at around shoulder height on the outside of the fridge. Touch screen buttons help maintain a modern smart look and the controls are easy to use. As you would expect with a well thought out product, there are quick freeze and quick cooling functions for if you are putting in a lot of shopping as well as the standard ‘Eco’ setting. The unit runs quietly, however there is an audio and visual alarm should the doors be left open by accident.
The soft opening doors reveal an interior with plenty of space for a large family’s shopping and to store homemade meals. The freezer unit has a mixture of shelves and drawers which will hold bulky items as well as door shelves for smaller goods. A nice touch are the two ice dispensers. Easily removed and filled the trays are twisted, once the water has frozen, with a large knob to dispense the ice cleanly into a drawer underneath which holds the ice ready for you to remove and use.
The larger fridge side has shelves and drawers plus a secure metal bottle rack. The storage can be moved around to change position and height clearances so you can personalise the space to suit your needs. An extra touch are the easy glide soft opening and closing drawers courtesy of wheeled runners. The large drawers have plenty of dry, cool space for dairy, salads, fruits and vegetables.
As you would expect the fridge door has strong shelving for bottles, cans or juices; there is also an egg rack and a sealed cheese unit to keep the odours under control. The door is also where the water cooler is accessed and easily filled.
I am not sure what they are yet but the unit has ‘active odour control’ and ‘active seal guard’ which sounds good. More importantly, there is a two year guarantee sticker on the door!
Finally the doors close quietly, smoothly and with a hard to describe reassuring action. This A* fridge freezer definitely gets an A* from this family.

"Excellent value for money, looks good and has got plenty of space, shelves compartments inside. The water dispenser constantly drips water, and floods the tray. Beko are sending out parts so hopefully this will get sorted. Other than that very good"
