"I was looking for a good value, well-rated tumble dryer to replace my 32yr old Philips machine, which has finally bitten the dust. I wanted a new machine which was as simple to use as my old one - just two heat settings (button pushed in for high heat, out for low) - with minimal things to go wrong. Obviously, it looks much better than my 3+ decades old one, but there are three features I particularly like: (i) the right-hinged door which, when placed alongside my washing-machine which has a left-hinged door, makes transferring the damp washing across SO easy, (ii) the lint filter is an absolutely genius design - a cage which you remove by placing two fingers in the holes and then opening up the cage to remove the lint, clicking it shut again and simply dropping it back into place, and (iii) the reverse tumble action to minimise tangling of the washing (my ancient machine didn't have this feature). It's not quieter than my old machine, but nor is it noisy. In summary, this is a great machine for a sub-£200 price and I highly recommend it - I just hope it lasts 32 years!"

"My tumble dryer arrived as agreed and fitted in seconds.
I have always had Hotpoint devices and this one was excellent. Quiet, easy to access and the door opens opposite to the washing machine so that transferring washing from one to the other requires very little work.

"This is easy to install and use. Being vented means the hot air goes outside so no condensation. Always a big fan of Hotpoint products as they, so far, have never let me down. First time using ao.com and the experience was all positive will definitely use them again.
One negative point is the dial feels quite flimsy so I feel it should be handled with care! "

"I looked at numerous reviews about tumble dryers whether to buy a condenser or vented. I am extremely happy that I purchased the Hotpoint Aquarius, the door opening is large and the noise level is quite low. Top marks for this item"
