"We decided to replace a ten year old built-in with a new free-standing fridge freezer and chose this Bosch model for its A++ rating which will save us 102 kWh (approx. one third less) electricity per year, and a better fridge capacity to boot. We favour Bosch as a reliable brand and hope this latest buy will not change our opinion. Plus points are the sparklingly bright LED light, and general "roominess" of the fridge. Minus point (for me) is the handle arrangement, which for a right-hinged door (as supplied) means either using your left hand to open the door, or turning your right wrist "upside down". A more traditional protruding handle would spoil the look of the aesthetically curved door but would be easier to use! The freezer door has a very strong magnetic seal which is a good thing unless you forget an item and try to open the door again shortly after... it needs a good tug as you are working against suction until it weakens. Moral is to try and remember what you need first time!
For air circulation around the heat exchanger, two plastic stand-offs provide the necessary gap at the back of the appliance... this means the total projection from a rear wall to the front curve of the door is about 69 cm. Access to the door handles is partly the reason why it sticks out 9cm or so beyond the standard 60cm worktop, but if it bothers you then this is not the one for you.
Having dispensed with the cabinetry that held our previous model, we realised the builders/fitters had never provided any ventilation to what was essentially a closed box, and the consequential increase in running cost that it must have caused is yet another good reason to check you own appliance and if you have room for this Bosch model, go for it!"

"Large capacity and looks good for price with a very bright LED white light at top of fridge section. Not too sure on how the freezer defrosting low heat-up function will function long term but no ice has formed so far in two weeks so may be fine. Be aware, as you can expect from price, this is one of the lower end Bosch badged rebrands, not German manufactured as you may be told but in Turkey and main compressor unit is Chinese. Doubt it matters at this price really, just FYI. Very quiet too."

"I am so impressed with this item, we acquired a fridge freezer as down sizing due to family moving out was wary of losing my larder fridge and chest freezer. However this fridge freezer has a large chiller box which I can keep all my items, plenty of room in fridge and freezer enough for the two of us. We did research before purchase and I cannot praise enough"

"I purchased this to go in my new flat which didn't have a fridge freezer. This has excellent capacity for a small family. The chiller drawer maintains the crispness and freshness of my fruit & veg very well. The freezer has lots of capacity. I like to freeze portions of stews, etc., and this holds a lot of stuff. I like the recessed handles in the doors as well."

"The side opening is proving tough to use especially the freezer door (!) and there are only three door shelves with no real option for another due to a lack of grooves, so there is wasted space. The video masked the fact that they were pale blue in colour - not my preference.
I mistakenly thought it was frost free so a little miffed at my choice made in haste. But overall a solid well-built product I will get used to and love hopefully for many years."
