"Sharp R-28STM Microwave
I have recently got a new R-28TM microwave from Sharp, a company with a good, long standing reputation, and on delivery and unpacking the microwave, it is very apparent that Sharp are an environmental friendly aware company, when reviewing the small, but sufficient amount of packaging, which can mostly be recycled.
On this microwave, I found it so far to be better than expected, not only is it a very stylish in brushed stainless steel, it as a 23 litre capacity with a 30.3cmwide, 20cmhigh and 30 cm deep with a 27 cm glass turn table, makes it an all round attractive appliance suitable for any reasonable size family and/or kitchen, and after testing it fully, it more or less does what it says on the box.
And checking with a thermometer, it will warm water in a cup in 40 seconds to boiling point to, and it heats an average 400ml tin of soup through in 3 minutes and 10 seconds, no more than I would expect from this 800 watt microwave.
The LED display is bright and attractive, and easy to read, and setting the clock is really easy. The pre-set function buttons make defrosting or cooking even easier than your average microwave on the market.
The child lock option is as simple as holding the 'Stop/clear' button to lock the control panel, and unlocking is the same procedure.
One feature I do think is a cut above the rest, and that is the 'Delay start', I have a disabled partner, and this feature means I can put a soup in the microwave, and it will automatically cook lunch for him while I am out shopping, so it is just a matter of him listening for the five beeps to know lunch is ready.
My only negative points I have about it is, the fact it only has a 24 hour clock option, and as it is a standard kitchen appliance that could be used by all including the sick, disabled etc, not everybody can grasp a 24 hour clock, and could be confusing if it is the only clock in a kitchen.
Secondly on using the auto weight defrost option, I inputted the correct weight of the item I was trying to defrost, yet when I took It out the item was still half frozen and needed the same time again.. but all in all it is a brilliant microwave and does an efficient job. Very pleased and will be recommending to anyone that needs to buy a new microwave or just to recommend this brand.

"i found this extremely easy to use,the instructions were easy to follow.it has lots of different functions on it,most of which i have covered in the video.it looks great,its easy to clean.there is nothing complicated about it,which is great as i sometimes find instructions impossible to follow.overall this is a fab microwave and id definitely recommend it!!!"

"This sharp microwave is really impressive I've had a fair few of lower ranger microwaves and this one is far superior to any I've had at home. I'm a chef and come across many at work and this lives up to the sharp name. And is on par with what I've come across at work. I love the pre-sets and delay start options. Very Minimal packaging but yet packaged perfectly. So disposal of packaging was a breeze. Setting the clock was really easy. "

"My family and I are serial microwave users, cooking a dinner from scratch before my kids hit the fridge/knaw the cupboards can be a challenge and sometimes finding a device up to the job can be tricky!! Sometimes I think microwaves are designed by NASA with their epic amount of buttons and knobs and so finding the Sharp R28STM was pretty user friendly was the biggest bonus! I love that the features are practical and easy to figure out and really make sense in a busy family kitchen. Delayed start and running several features in one go are a dinnertime saviour!! I am really impressed with this appliance and think it's the PERFECT fit for any kitchen counter!!"
