"This is a great buy for a small family, couple or single people. It is 20 litres which is more than big enough to cook a joint for a small family.
I am a great one for buying easy to use and uncomplicated kitchen equipment. I just like to plug it in and use it. With this microwave I thought I would be able to that and I was write. I looks complicated at first but once I identified where everything was, I was well away.
Within 10 minutes I had unpacked it, set it up and was ready to plug it in. The instruction book was well written & easy to follow, even the safety instructions! I was able to start using it almost immediately.
Firstly, I was able to set the clock quickly and easily – yes, I followed the instructions but you only use 2 keys.
I was amazed that there are 11 power settings including Defrost – not sure I will use all of them so far I have only used 7. I did find these easy to programme though. I have not used the weight calculations to cook with yet, this seems a little more complicated.
I love the Auto Menu, which allows the press of one button to cook popcorn, jacket potatoes, cold pizza, frozen vegetables and re heating a dinner plate. Advice on the amounts and sizes is provided and fairly easy to remember.
I think the child lock facility is a great idea, as it stops any children using it. Again this is easy to do just by holding down the stop/clear button for 3 seconds to turn it on and off.
So far, I have cooked frozen veg, heated up a Cornish pasty and cooked a couple of jacket potatoes. I even defrosted some sausages and they all turned out great and timings made sure that they were cooked through – I did check with a food probe, just in case!
