"The main reason I bought this was for the double oven. The second oven/grill is very useful for smaller dishes and cakes, as well as being economical. The main oven has self-clean liners, I can't say how well they work as they haven't got dirty yet. Both ovens cook everything evenly. The hob, burners and racks are easy enough to keep clean and shiny. Downsides are no light in the top oven/grill and the light in the main oven only works when you turn the gas supply on, which would make it awkward when cleaning. Also I would prefer a removable glass panel in oven door. This cooker has two panes of glass with a gap between - again more difficult when trying to keep properly clean."

"Bought this cooker as the cannon carrick was unavailable. looks very similar, and I guess this hotpoint model replaces it. However not nearly so well designed. My wife finds it difficult to open the bottom oven door as the catch is very strong. She struggles to light it as you have to hold the knobs in for a long while, if not the gas goes out and you have to wait some time before you can try again. There is NO catalytic liner in the top oven, as originally described only in the bottom one. Our old Valor cooker lasted us over 20 years, and was so advanced in detail and was really well built, but nothing lasts for ever and it started to get unreliable, so bought this one. But the Valor cost MORE than the hotpoint, you get what you pay for, ask me again in another 20 years"

"Fantastic looking cooker. Easy to light and the grill has a control knob for high or low heat. The grill pan also comes with a removeable handle. Don't know about the small oven don't tend to use it but the large oven is big and roomy with good viewing through the ovens glass door. Has a nice modern sleek look with the high black gloss finish. Found this cooker easy to clean. The Hotpoint HAGL60K_BK Cooker comes with a 13amp plug, which was a pleasant surprise."
